Abstract: PURPOSE: To facilitate the assembly of a deadbolt component into a door hole with different dimensions. CONSTITUTION: A pair of cylinders 22 and 24 that is aligned in an axial direction, has a different diameter, and is extended to both sides is provided at an adapter 16. One of the cylinders 22 and 24 is complementarily adapted to one of a pair of holes 14 and 12, thus preventing radial lateral movement for the axis of the holes. The other cylinder out of the cylinders 22 and 24 is adapted into a groove 44 that is formed in a surface 42 of a protection collar 18 or a cylindrical opening 36 of the protection collar 18. Since the cylinders 22 and 24 are connected by links 26, 28, and 30 in one piece, the radial lateral movement of either of the cylinders 22 and 24 in either of the holes 14 and 12 is prevented, thus preventing the radial movement of the protection collar 18 for the axis of the holes.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a blind rivet setting tool by pulling a head and setting the rivet while restraining the rivet by engaging a rivet head therewith. CONSTITUTION: The assembly 53 of the double head rivet setting tool having the collet assembly of the structure engaging the pull head of the rivet and the abutment assembly 53 is movable between a release position where the pull head of a mandrel 6 of the rivet passes the abutment assembly 53 and the collet assembly engages the same and a closed position where the assembly comes into contact with the rivet head and engages the same. When abutment members 54 are mounted and the double headed blind rivet is presented, the head of the rivet engages the abutment members 54 and when the rivet head is pressed to the tool, the abutment members 54 are securely closed around the mandrel 6. As a result, the cost effective tool of the simple structure may be obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry a tightening element to different tightening devices by carrying the tightening element to a joining point in a specified direction via a feed channel, setting a first end part forward via a first channel, setting a second end part forward via a second channel, and feeding the tightening element from the joining point. SOLUTION: A tightening element 1 which is a blind rivet is fed to a feed channel. A ram is operated inside a connection channel, the feed channel is opened, and the tightening element 1 is fed to a connection channel 4. The ram is displaced in the direction of a joining point 3, and carries the tightening element 1 to a direction of the joining point 3. The tightening element 1 slides down on a part 5 which is inclined diagonally downward, and reaches the joining point 3. When the tightening element 1 is fed with a head 13 of the first end part forward, the compressed air is applied to a first channel 7 from a branch 12 to feed the element to the tightening device. When the tightening element 1 is fed with a mandrel 14 of a second end part forward, the compressed air is applied to a second channel 8 from the branch 12 to feed the element to the tightening device.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix an insulating material layer to a sheet material and allow its reuse by inserting a retainer into a hole in the insulating material layer, pressing a pair of locking fingers to the lower side of the insulating layer, and fixing them to the insulating material layer. SOLUTION: When a retainer 10 is inserted into a hole in an insulating layer 24 and a pressing plate 18 is pressed toward a flange 12, a guide pin 20 is inserted into a guide hole, and the pressing plate 18 is guided along a linear passage until a locking member 26 is inserted into a locking recess part 36 in a stem base part. As a head part of the member 26 is expanded, the recess part 36 is extended and snapped back so as to be brought into contact with the circumference of a stem in the member 26. At the same time, a locking finger 22 is oscillated outward through flexible parts 30, 32, 34, and a flat part of the finger 22 is brought into contact with the lower side of the insulating layer 24. In this way, the retainer 10 is installed to a stud 46. When the retainer 10 is turned so as to be removed from the stud 46 and the pressing plate 18 is pulled, the retainer 10 can be removed from the insulating layer 24 and may be reused again.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a stable condition under a specified high temperature by providing at least one coating including tin and zinc, and constituting the coating from mixing crystal of tin and zinc. SOLUTION: A parts 1 is a solid bolt, and is provided with a shaft 2 having a fastening part 4, and the fastening part 4 consists of a male screw 3. A head 5 is arranged adjacently to the shaft 2, a welding part 6 is arranged in an end part region which is far from the shaft 2, and the welding part 6 is provided with a conical welding surface 7. The parts 1 is provided with a coating 8 composed of mixing crystal of tin and zinc, the coating 8 is formed in the whole of parts, its thickness is set to 2 to 20 mm, especially, it may be set to about 8 mm. The coating 8 is stabilized at a high temperature, especially, at about 300 deg.C, and the other member is arranged on the fastening parts. As a result, heat treatment of this unit is made possible. Conductivity of the coating 8 is not completely influenced, or it is influenced in an inconspicuous degree, and the parts 1 is used on an electric contact part. Since the material of the coating 8 does not melt in a welding material of a fusing condition, it does not have the influence on the strength of the welding part.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply remove a mandrel developing a jam and to obtain the saving of time and the reducing of costs by dividing into sections in the jam developing zone in the mandrel of a power type blind rivet tool in the state developing the jam. SOLUTION: The socket portion of a hose coupler member 22 having a conical channel 32 in the inside and connected with a collecting hose at the one end and having the annular shape at the other end, is fitted into an annular space 20. In order to executing the closely sealing connection between a connector member having the channel for receiving a slidable tube 12 and the coupler member 22, an O ring 24 is disposed in the annular groove 26. In the jam state, a force having higher than the friction force of the O ring 24, is generated and solid material is finally separated from the connector member. In this way, vacuum pressure in the tube 12 is lost and the operator of the rivet tool can remove the mandrel from the jam developed zone in the tool with the hand.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wearing of a jaw in a fitting tool for a blind rivet. SOLUTION: The tool is used for fitting the blind rivet of a type having the rivet body 2 and a mandrel 3 extended passing through this body 2 and provided with a prescribed breaking neck. This tool has at least three balls 27 in each line for one or more lines. The balls 27 are held in such degree as not to excessively bite the mandrel 3 by cooperating with the tapered part inserting the mandrel 3 in the rivet 1. At the time of moving the tapered part to the direction leaving the rivet body 2, the balls 27 are bitten to the mandrel 3 to hold the mandrel 3. At the time of continuing the further movement in the same direction, the rivet body 2 is widened and the mandrel 3 is broken at the prescribed neck for breaking. The ball device is not worn so quicker as the conventional jaw device.
