Abstract: A washing and drying machine (1) has a treatment tub (4), for containing articles that are to be washed and dried, and comprises: a washing circuit (5, 10, 11, 12, 21, S), for drawing in a washing liquid from the tub (4) and conveying it back into the tub, the washing circuit (5, 10, 11, 12, S) having a pump (11) and means for heating the washing liquid; a drying circuit (13, 14, 25, 26), for extracting in a forced way air from the tub (4) and conveying it back into the tub, the drying circuit (13, 14, 25, 26) having a first fan (14), means for dehumidifying the air extracted from the tub (4), and means for heating the dehumidified air to be conveyed back into the tub (4); and a heat-pump arrangement (20) having a refrigerating circuit for a refrigerant fluid, which includes a first condenser (21), a first evaporator (22), a first lamination valve (23), and a compressor (24).
