Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a skin external preparation excellent in action capable of suppressing occurrence of wrinkle and removing wrinkle and suppressing parakeratosis of skin, hyperplasia of epidermis and abnormality of lipometabolism and excellent in the recovery of normal function and retention of homeostasis. CONSTITUTION:The skin external preparation contains an amine derivative of formula I [R is 1-40C straight-chain, branched or cyclic hydrocarbon group which may contain a hetero atom; R and R are H or 1-10C hydrocarbon group which may have 1 or more OH groups; R is 2-6C hydrocarbon which may have 1 or more OH groups; n is 2-6] or its acid addition salt or quaternary compound, e.g. N [2-(2-hydroxyethylamino)ethyl]-12 hydroxyoctadecanamide. This compound has action capable of suppressing DNA synthesis of an epidermic cell, promoting differential induction and suppressing hyperplasia of epidermis and is blended in this external preparation in an amount of 0.0001-5wt.% in the case of an emulsion system or 0.0001-10wt.% in the case of an oily system using a liquid hydrocarbon such as squalane as a base. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting an ester of formula 2 with an amine of formula 3 in the presence of a base catalyst (a).

CONSTITUTION:A silicone derivative having siloxane units represented by formulae I and II (wherein R , R , and R each is a 1-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon group or a 5-10C alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon group) and having a degree of polymerization of 2-200 is reacted with a perfluoroalkyl compound represented by formula III (wherein Rf and Rf, each is a 1-20C perfluoroalkyl, l/ is 2-16, and m and n each is 1 or 2) to produce a fluorine-modified silicone derivative having a siloxane unit represented by formula IV (wherein R Rf, R'f, and n are each as defined above) and a siloxane unit represented by formula II and having a degree of polymerization of 2-200. This derivative has excellent water and oil repellency and is suitable for incorporation into a cosmetic preparation and useful as an ingredient for a cosmetic excellent in lasting property and use feeling.

Then the compound expressed by formula 4 is allowed to react with a compound expressed by formula 5 (R and R are 1-6C alkyl capable of having OH, alkenyl or H) or glycerols or hydrolyzed, or the hydrolyzate is neutralized with a base to advantageously provide a partially new substance expressed by formula 6 to formula 9 (at least one of R to R is formula 10 and the remainder is 1-22C alkyl, alkenyl, acyl or H; M is a cation selected from alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonium and organic ammonium; formula 6 and formula 9 are new compounds).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject new stable derivatives low in irritation to the skin, exhibiting long activity of covering properties, adhesion, a protecting effect, etc., to the skin or hairs and suitable for cosmetics use, etc., by reacting an abiethyl alcohol with a carboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:An abiethyl alcohol (e.g. tetrahydroabiethyl alcohol) represented by formula R OH (R is groups of formulae I, II, etc.) is reacted with a carboxylic acid (e.g. 2-heptylundecanoic acid) expressed by formula R COOH (R is 7-25C hydrocarbon) in the presence of an acid catalyst such as sulfuric acid in a solvent such as toluence while being heated and refluxed with stirring for 24hr. Generated water is distilled off and, after completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture is washed by using an aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate, etc. The solvent is distilled off under vacuum and the resultant residue is subsequently subjected to purification by silica gel chromatography, thus obtaining the objective ester derivative (e.g. tetrahydrobiethyl 2-heptylundecanate) represented by formula III.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the subject hair-treatment agent composition containing a silicone modified with a cyclic Bunte salt, used by adjusting pH to a prescribed value when the composition is used and capable of giving a split hair- preventing effect and luster over a long period. CONSTITUTION:A silicone modified with a cyclic Bunte salt of formula I (X is alkaline metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonia, amine or quaternary ammonium salt; n is 4-10; m is 3-11) is used in an amount of 0.01-50wt.%. A compound preferably represented by formula II or III (R is H, 1-4C alkyl, etc.; Y is H or OH; p, q or r is 0-5; R3 is 8-18C alkyl) is mixed therein in an amount of 0.1-50wt.% and a commonly used polymer compound, an oil component, polyhydric alcohol, a perfume, a pigment, a germicide, an ultraviolet absorber, etc., are mixed therewith as necessary, thus giving the objective composition. When the composition is used, pH of the composition is adjusted to 2-4 using circuit acid, etc., or to 8-11 using an alkaline solution. This composition can be applied to a shampoo, a rinse, a treatment, a styling, a permanent wave treatment, a hair color, a bleaching agent, etc.
