Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for producing an opening fiber bundle capable of being uniformly opened in a state of a low tension and little generation of naps and provide materials for cases of electric and electronic appliances, long fiber pellets and fiber-reinforced resin pre-pregs obtained by using the method and device. SOLUTION: This production of an opening fiber bundle is to arrange continuously fed plural fiber bundle 30 in a state to cross with protrusion-forming elastic bodies 2 by inserting holding parts attached on the both ends of each of the elastic bodies 2 into supporting bodies 4, put the fiber bundle 30 into the elastic bodies 2, expand intervals between the both holding parts by carrying the supporting bodies 4 and the elastic bodies 2 together with the fiber bundle 30 in the carrying direction and open the fiber bundle 30 by expanding the interval between the adjacent protrusions.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adhesive from protruding from the edge of a sealing frame body by applying the adhesive to a semiconductor package sealing frame body or a semiconductor package substrate by a screen method and making the sealing frame body adhere to the substrate. SOLUTION: A screen printer is used as an adhesive application means 5 applying adhesive 6 to a prescribed region on the substrate 3. The screen printer is provided with a screen 14, and the screen 14 has a mesh part 15 whose form is the same as the adhesive applied region. Multiple small holes are given to the mesh part 15. When a squeegee 16 is moved, adhesive 6 on the screen 14 falls down through a small holes and is applied on the substrate 3. Thus, the adhesive 6 is prevented from protruding from the edge of the sealing frame body, and the adhesive 6 is prevented from covering a connection part between a conductor pattern and a semiconductor chip. Consequently, the conductor pattern and the semiconductor chip can be connected as they are.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tablet of high quality by distributing resin from a screw- containing cylinder of a kneading extruder to a plurality of discharge ports, and injecting it in a tablet mold having a plurality of cavities, thereby, remarkably improving productivity. SOLUTION: Resin composition is fed to a heating cylinder 2 by rotation of a screw of a kneading extruder 1, and kneaded while being heated and melted. It is quantitatively cut by a cutter 4 provided near a discharge port of a distributing die 3 by an urging force of the screw, and then charged in a tablet mold 8 having one or a plurality of cavities. After the charging is completed, a tablet mold holder 5 is moved. Then, when the mold 8 is arrived at a position of the discharge port of the die 3, the holder 5 is stopped. After the resin charged in the mold 8 is pressurized by an upper plunger 11 and sealing member 99, it is cooled. This is lifted by a thrust plunged 12.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a thermoplastic resin compsn. having excellent rigidity and impact resistance with improvements in the tensile toughness and chemical resistance of a thermoplastic styrene resin by blending the thermoplastic styrene resin with a modified polyolefin resin and a specific modified graft copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin compsn. comprises the following components [A] to [C]. The component [A] is a thermoplastic styrene resin. The component [B] is a modified polyolefin resin prepd. by grafting a polyolefin resin with an alpha,beta-unsatd. carboxylic acid or a deriv. thereof, the amt. of which is 0.1 to 15wt.%, based on the polyolefin resin. The component [C] is either a modified graft copolymer prepd. by graft copolymn. of a diene rubber with a monomer mixture of an oxazolyl group-contg. vinyl monomer and other copolymerizable monomer, or a modified graft copolymer compsn. comprising the above-mentioned modified graft copolymer and a copolymer of the remaining monomers. The blending ratio is such that [A]/[B]=-5/95 to 95/5 (wt. ratio) and the amt. of the component [C] is l-100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. in total of the components [A] and [B].

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition having good compatibility among components and excellent in impact resistance, tensile toughness, and rigidity by mixing a thermoplastic styrene resin with a modified polyolefin resin and a modified vinyl polymer having oxazolyl groups. CONSTITUTION:This composition comprises a thermoplastic styrene resin (A) (e.g. a rubber-reinforced styrene-resin), a modified polyolefin resin (B) obtained by grafting an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof onto a polyolefin resin (b) (e.g. an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer rubber) in an amount of 0.1-15wt.% based on the resin (b), and a modified vinyl polymer (C) having oxazolyl groups, wherein the (A) to (B) ratio is 5/95 to 95/5 by weight and the amount of (C) is 1-100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. the sum of (A) and (B). The component (C) is a copolymer of a vinyl monomer having an oxazolyl group (e.g. 2-propenyl-2-oxazoline with a copolymerizable vinyl monomer (e.g., acrylonitrile).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prolong the life of the resistance heater element by covering the cylindrical heating resistor made of graphite with a high-melting material on its surface. CONSTITUTION:The heating resistor 1 of graphite cylinder for heating yarn Y is covered with a high-melting material 2 melting over 2800 deg.C and having a coefficient of thermal expansion from equal to till less than 2.0 times that of the heater material such as W, Ta, HfC, TaC, NbC, VC, SiC, HfN, TaN, ZrN, HfB2, TaB2, NbB2, WB, TiB2). The outside surface of the covering layer is protected with a carbon yarn layer 3 to inhibit or prevent the covering layer 2 from being deteriorated or peeled. The covering layer is formed by plasma- spraying or vacuum-spraying.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize the fluidization of a fluidized bed apparatus by a method wherein cylindrical bodies having an inlet hole and an outlet hole for a running thread or band material are partly formed of perforated plates or porous plates with fine through-holes leading to the outside of the fluidized bed and having diameters smaller than the mean diameter of fluidized particles. CONSTITUTION:A running thread- or band-like material, e.g. a carbon fiber precursor, is introduced into a fluidized bed 1 through an inlet hole 6 provided in the side wall of a frame 2, continuously or intermittently travels through the fluidized bed 2 as it is kept in specified conditions, and goes outside through an outlet hole 7 provided on the side of the frame 2. The inlet and outlet holes 6 and 7 each consist of a cylindrical body 8 which is partly formed of a perforated plate or a porous plate 9 with fine through-holes leading to the outside of the fluidized bed 1 and having diameters smaller than the mean diameter of fluidized particles. Thereby, the fluidized particles deposit and naturally form a dike surrounding the material to be treated, so that an excellent sealing effect is produced and the fluidized particles are kept from leaking.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a heating furnace by which the service life of a resistance heating element can be lengthened and the replacing work can be carried out easily. CONSTITUTION:A resistance heating element 3 has a truncated cone shape connecting part 3a having a diameter larger than the largest diameter of the heating element 3 on the one end side, and has a straight connecting part 3b having a diameter larger than the largest diameter of the connecting part 3a on the other side. The connecting part 3a is fitted in a cone-shaped connecting hole 4c bored in an electrode 4a, and is brought into close contact with it through a taper surface, and the connecting part 3b is fitted in one side of a connecting hole 4d formed penetratingly in an electrode 4b. The heating element 3 is pushed against the electrode 4a side by a presser bolt 15 composed of a carbon material, and base parts 3c and 3d of the connecting parts 3a and 3b projected slightly from the respective connecting holes 4c and 4d are push- pressed respectively by fixing plates 16 composed of a carbon material, and are fixed to the electrodes 4a and 4b.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a heating furnace with a resistance heating element, the life of which can be substantially prolonged by completely suppressing evaporation of graphite from a surface of the heating element. CONSTITUTION:A carbon fiber thread layer 3 comprising a laminate formed by winding of carbon fiber threads, and a sheet-shaped graphite layer 4 comprising a laminate formed by winding of a sheet-shaped graphite cover in this order an outer surface of a cylindrical-shaped resistance heating element 2 which is formed of graphite and has an inlet 9a and an outlet 9b for a thread Y. The insulating members 5 which comprise a compact of boron nitride is provided between the sheet-shaped graphite layer 4 and the resistance heating element 2 on the opposite ends thereof. Accordingly, the insulating members 5 prevent carbon vapor having evaporated from an outer surface of the resistance heating element 2 from leaking outside the element, so that a heating furnace is provided to have a heating element 1, the life of which is substantially prolonged.
