    Abstract: An access node transmits, in a downlink signal having a series of subframes, a beam-formed reference signal in subframes, where the beam-formed reference signals are transmitted in fewer than all of the subframes of the downlink signal. A first subset includes beam-formed reference signals corresponding to a first frequency or first localized range of frequencies, and a second subset includes beam-formed reference signals corresponding to a second frequency or second localized range of frequencies. The second frequency or second localized range of frequencies is spaced apart from and differing from the first frequency or first localized range of frequencies. A user equipment, UE, receives, in the downlink signal, the beam-formed reference signal in each of a plurality of subframes. The UE performs mobility management measurements using at least the first subset of the received beam- formed reference signals and performs RLM using the second subset of the received beam-formed reference signals.

    Abstract: Selon la présente invention, un nœud d'accès configure un équipement utilisateur, ue, pour effectuer des mesures de gestion de mobilité à l'aide d'au moins un premier sous-ensemble de signaux de référence formés en faisceau et pour effectuer une surveillance de liaison radio, rlm, à l'aide d'au moins une partie du premier sous-ensemble de signaux de référence formés en faisceau destinés aux mesures de gestion de mobilité. Le nœud d'accès transmet, dans un premier signal de liaison descendante ayant une série de sous-trames, un signal de référence formé en faisceau dans chaque sous-trame d'une pluralité de sous-trames, les signaux de référence formés en faisceau n'étant pas transmis dans toutes les sous-trames du signal de liaison descendante. L'ue reçoit, dans le signal de liaison descendante formé en faisceau, le signal de référence formé en faisceau dans chaque sous-trame de la pluralité de sous-trames. L'ue effectue des mesures de gestion de mobilité à l'aide d'au moins un premier sous-ensemble des signaux de référence formés en faisceau reçus et effectue une rlm à l'aide d'au moins une partie du premier sous-ensemble de signaux de référence formés en faisceau destinés aux mesures de gestion de mobilité.

    Abstract: There is provided a method for handling mobility synchronization measurements. The method is performed by a wireless device. The method comprises receiving an indication to perform mobility measurements on a set of transmission beams associated with a unique identity. The method comprises checking if the unique identity has previously been stored by the wireless device. The method comprises, if the unique identity has not previously been stored by the wireless device, performing mobility measurements on the set of transmission beams to determine synchronization information of the set of transmission beams. The method comprises storing the unique identity and the synchronization information of the mobility measurements.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides by a method for transmitting a mobility reference signal, MRS, during a mobility measurement session to a wireless device, WD. The method is performed in a radio access network node, RANN. The RANN is configurable to transmit using a set of transmission beams. The method comprises dynamically assigning, a MRS identifier to each candidate transmission beam in a set of candidate transmission beams. The method comprises transmitting control information to the WD, the control information comprising the MRS identifier for each corresponding candidate transmission beam; and transmitting the mobility reference signal, MRS, to the WD in accordance with the transmitted control information.
