Abstract:
An electronic substrate connecting structure is used to electrically connect a pair of electronic substrates arranged to face each other. The electronic substrate connecting structure includes a plurality of pins erected on one of the electronic substrates to electrically connect the one of the electronic substrates and the other electronic substrate, and a pin guide that has a plurality of guide holes where the pins are inserted and defines positions of the pins such that the pins are connectable to the other electronic substrate while the pins are installed in the one of the electronic substrates.

A printed circuit board assembly and method of assembly is provided for a printed circuit board having a top and bottom surface with at least one edge portion having a rounded surface extending from the top surface to a point below the top surface and at least one electrical contact pad located on the top surface and extending over the edge portion rounded surface to a point below the top surface.
Abstract:
A method for reducing the fitting thrust of golden finger (101,103) and a PCB (100). The method and the PCB (100) solve the problem of excessive inserting force of the golden finger (101,103) of the prior art, through modifying the shape of the edge of the PCB (100), the edge of the PCB open reeds of a connector (201, 203) at different time. The PCB (100) has at least one concave edge section or at least one convex edge section or at least one tilt edge section, and the edge can further be beveled. The bonding pads of the golden finger can be assorted, pin ends of a part of golden fingers (101, 103) can be partially removed or these golden fingers can be completely removed, the pin ends of a part of golden fingers (101,103) can be preserved. Through the method, the purpose of reducing the fitting thrust upon inserting the PCB (100) into the connector can be achieved.
Abstract:
A fixing structure for a circuit board includes at least one board mounting hole in the circuit board, the board mounting hole having a guide hole and an insertion hole, and at least one board mounting member inserted through the board mounting hole, the board mounting member having a main body, a cover, and an insertion portion therebetween, wherein the insertion portion has a cross-sectional area smaller than either of the main body or the cover and is capable of fitting in the insertion hole of the board mounting hole.
Abstract:
A printed circuit board and an electronic apparatus utilizing the same. The electronic apparatus includes the printed circuit board and a dual-inline-package (DIP) device. The printed circuit board includes a pair of holes. The pair of holes has a geometrical center, and is substantially symmetrical with respect to the geometric center so that each hole is arc-shaped. The DIP device includes a pair of pins, and is disposed on the printed circuit board by inserting the pins into the holes.
Abstract:
A printed circuit board (PCB) for an ignition apparatus includes a connection interface. The connection interface includes a first hole, and a second hole that is smaller than the first hole. The second hole has a pad associated therewith that is electrically coupled to a conductive trace for connecting to a system connector. The first hole and the second hole are coupled by way of a channel. The first hole is sized so as to facilitate insertion of a winding end, while the second hole is configured to facilitate a soldering operation of the winding end to the pad. The channel width is less than the diameter of the winding end so that once the winding end is in the smaller hole, the channel provides, in-effect, a retaining feature until it can be soldered.
Abstract:
An electrical connector having a metal plate which is mounted under the housing with hot riveting. Location pegs are made so that low mounting force is possible. A wafer which is black in color or has another contrasting color makes it possible for a video camera to record the true position of the terminals. The surface of the top side of the housing is suited for vacuum pick up.
Abstract:
In this Application, a description is given of a passive component comprising two electric connections with a plug-in portion for securing and electrically connecting the component to a printed circuit board, for example an electrolytic capacitor. In accordance with the invention, this component is so constructed that both plug-in portions are provided with two pins, with the plug-in portions being so positioned that the four pins do not extend in a flat plane. By virtue of the measure in accordance with the invention, resoldering of such components can be dispensed with. The use of pins whose length and width are different enables the manual installation of the components in accordance with the invention in the correct position to be simplified.
Abstract:
A PC board for mating with a card-edge connector having a selectively configured projecting tab which defines a desired insertion force profile to facilitate engagement. A portion of the projecting tab is notched to delay the initial contact from the internal spring contacts of the mating card-edge connector until a proportional amount of contacts have opened and wiped some of the PC board terminals first, and then to allow the remaining contacts to engage the notched portion. Initial insertion force is relieved in proportion to the PC board edge profile.
Abstract:
An improved connector terminal has a profile which facilitates insertion into engagement holes on a circuit board and increases resistance to deformation. The terminals may be part of an assembly which includes a series of terminals arranged in a spaced-apart array. Each has a solder tail portion defined by a straight edge (11) proximate to the centerline (9) and a slanted edge (12) which diagonally extends from the other side and which traverses the centerline (9) to intersect with the straight edge (11) to thereby form an acute angle at the tip (E) of the terminal near the centerline (9) to provide comparable positioning allowances on the opposite sides of the centerline (9) to facilitate mounting of the terminals on a circuit board. The acute angle point is advantageous to the optical measurement of terminal intervals for the quality control.
