    Abstract: PURPOSE: A heater module is provided to be capable of improving the regularity of temperature in an optical waveguide while holding power consumption and the thickness of an optical waveguide module. CONSTITUTION: The heater module(20) for adjusting a temperature of the optical waveguide element(12) by heating the optical waveguide element is provided with a heat generating circuit(22) generated heat by being electrically energized and a heat transfer part(21). The heat transfer part(21) has a recessed groove for placing the optical waveguide element(12) and formed on the upper surface of the heat generating circuit(22). The optical waveguide element(12) is heated not only from the bottom surface but also from the side surface by the edge part composing the recessed groove part by placing the optical waveguide element(12) on the bottom surface of the heat transfer part(21) in which the recessed groove part is formed. Thus, the regularity of temperature is improved.
