    Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and method for detecting a water level in a cooling system for a fuel cell vehicle, and, more specifically, to relate to the device and method accurately and quickly detecting the lack of coolant in the vehicle using a signal from a pressure sensor. Thus, the present invention provides the device and method, wherein the device accurately and quickly monitors the lack of coolant by calculating the lack amount of the coolant using a pressure detection gradient value and a fluctuation frequency thereof in the pressure sensor according to the flow of the coolant while the pressure sensor is installed at a coolant line connected to the inlet of a fuel cell stack and a reservoir is connected to the pressurization cap of a radiator, thereby further accurately and quickly monitoring the lack of coolant.
