Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing creatine having purity as high as possible in a simple way. SOLUTION: A method for purifying creatine is to introduce creatine to be purified and not containing water of crystallization into a saturated aqueous solution of creatine monohydrate in such a way that the creatine not containing water of crystallization is dissolved under a hydrated condition, to precipitate the crystal of creatine monohydrate from the aqueous solution and to separate the above crystal from the aqueous solution.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an improved method for producing pure riboflavin (vitamin B2) of modification B/C in granular form. Also disclosed is pure riboflavin in granular form, said pure riboflavin being provided with a bulk density of 0.45 to 0.7 g/ml, which is to be determined according to DIN 53468, and dissolution kinetics of at least 80 percent after being tableted.

Abstract:
A process is described for preparing ammonium salts of aromatic carboxylic acids by reacting an aromatic carboxylic acid with ammonia in an aprotic solvent, which comprises carrying out the reaction in a closed vessel by continuously introducing a solution of the aromatic carboxylic acid in the aprotic solvent and passing in gaseous ammonia so that an ammonia partial pressure in the range from 0.1 to 3 bar is maintained in the gas space of the vessel, and discharging a suspension of the ammonium salt in the aprotic solvent. The process allows the preparation of ammonium salts of defined crystal size having a narrow size distribution.

Abstract:
A process for carrying out a liquid/solid reaction comprises a) preparing a reaction suspension in which a first reactant is present in suspended form and a second reactant is present in dissolved form in a suspension medium, where one of the reaction products is insoluble in the suspension medium, b) passing the reaction suspension through an elongated reaction zone so that the Reynolds number of the stream is less than 20,000 and c) separating off the insoluble reaction product formed. The process has the advantage that the insoluble reaction product is obtained in a readily filterable form.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the formation of profen crystals, which comprises carrying out the formation of solids by displacement precipitation, cooling crystallization, evaporative crystallization or a combination thereof in the presence of one or more additives, and the use of the profens thus prepared for pharmaceutical formulations.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A process for the production of ethers, esters or acid anhydrides comprises flowing a solution of an inorganic or organic acid halide and alkyl halide through a filter cake containing salts of organic or oxygen containing inorganic acids or alcoholates such that the insoluble halide salt formed remains of the filter.
Abstract:
Ethers, esters or acid anhydrides are advantageously obtained when a cake situated on a filtering element and consisting of a first reactant, which is selected among salts of organic or oxygen-containing inorganic acids or alcoholates, is flown though by a solution consisting of a second reactant, which is selected among inorganic or organic acid halides and alkyl halides, whereby the formed insoluble halide salt remains on the filtering element. This enables the halide salt to be easily separated in an essentially quantitative manner.
