Abstract:
An ignition device for an internal combustion engine has a primary and secondary coils of an ignition coil, a center and ground electrodes of a spark plug, a cylinder shaped insulator and a cylinder shaped tube. The center electrode is disposed apart from the secondary coil in a longitudinal direction of the ignition device. The insulator is made of an insulating material and has a coil surrounding portion surrounding the secondary coil and a plug surrounding portion surrounding the center electrode. The primary coil is wound on an outer circumferential face of the coil surrounding portion. The ground electrode is disposed on an outer circumferential face of the plug surrounding portion. The tube is made of a magnetic material and has a coil covering portion covering the primary coil and a plug covering portion covering the plug surrounding portion and the ground electrode.

Eine Zündkerze für eine Brennkraftmaschine ist bereitgestellt, die mit einem Spitzenvorsprung ausgestattet ist, der an einen Obersten eines hohlen zylindrischen Gehäuses der Zündkerze angeordnet ist. Die Zündkerze hat ebenfalls einen Mittelelektrode, die in einem Porzellanisolator zurückgehalten ist, der innerhalb des Gehäuses angeordnet ist, und eine Masseelektrode ist mit dem Gehäuse gefügt, um einen Zündfunken auszubilden. Der Spitzenvorsprung dient, um eine Strömung eines durch einen Funken zu zündenden Gases zu richten, der in dem Zündspalt erzeugt wird, und ist geformt, eine radiale Breite aufzuweisen, die sich in einer radialen Richtung des Gehäuses erstreckt, und eine Umfangsbreite, die sich in einer Umfangsrichtung des zylindrischen Gehäuses erstreckt. Die radiale Breite ist größer als die Umfangsbreite. Dies verbessert den Wirkungsgrad im Führen der Strömung des Gases zu dem Zündspalt.

Zündvorrichtung für eine Verbrennungskraftmaschine, welche umfasst: eine primäre Wicklung (31) und eine sekundäre Wicklung (32) zum Zuführen einer Hochspannung zu einer Anlasszündkerze (2); einen zylindrischen Isolator (5) mit einem Öffnungsteil an einem Ende und einem Bodenteil an einem anderen Ende, wobei der Isolator eine der primären Wicklungen oder der sekundären Wicklungen enthält; und eine Harzschicht (9), die durch Füllen eines Harzes in einem Zwischenraum gebildet wird, der zwischen dem Isolator (5) und einer der Wicklungen (31, 32) begrenzt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Durchmesser eines inneren Umfangs des Isolators (5) von dem Öffnungsteil zu dem Bodenteil hin graduell ansteigt.

An ignition device for an internal combustion engine has a spark plug, an ignition coil, a housing and a mounting portion. The spark plug is for discharging a current to ignite an air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. The ignition coil is for supplying the current to the spark plug. The housing encloses the spark plug and the ignition coil therein. The housing has a mounting portion to be disposed in a mounting hole provided in a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine. The mounting portion includes a screw portion a non-screw portion. The screw portion is to be screw-fastened to the mounting hole. The non-screw portion is not to be screw-fastened to the mounting hole.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug protection cylinder, easily mountable on a spark plug at an appropriate position and easily detachable from the spark plug.SOLUTION: A protection cylinder 1 for a spark plug 6 of an internal combustion engine, including a center electrode 2, an electric porcelain 3 for insulation, an attachment metal fitting 4 having an attachment screw 41 formed on the outer circumference surface and a grounding electrode 5, is detachably disposed on the outer circumference of the attachment screw 41. On the base end side of the attachment screw 41, the attachment metal fitting 4 includes a flange 42 having a large diameter than the attachment screw 41. The protection cylinder 1 includes: a main body cylinder 11 having an inner diameter larger than and including the diameter of the attachment screw 41, and smaller than the diameter of the flange 42; a large-diameter cylinder 12 having an inner diameter larger than and including the diameter of the flange 42; and a step portion 13 formed between the large-diameter cylinder 12 and the main body cylinder 11.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition control device capable of suppressing output fluctuation between cycles in operating an engine under lean conditions. SOLUTION: The ignition control device 1 comprises an ignition plug 11 to which voltage is applied in the combustion stroke of the engine; an ignition coil 15 applying high voltage to the ignition plug to generate discharge sparks; an ammeter 18 measuring an ignition current value in the electric discharge of the ignition plug 11; and an ECU 30 performing intermittent control of electric discharge of the ignition plug 11 according to the ignition current value. The ECU 30 acquires the flow of discharge sparks based on information acquired from the ammeter 18 and interrupts electric discharge when observing the flow of electric discharge sparks. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit torque variation during phase difference ignition in a lean combustion area in an internal combustion engine provided with a plurality of ignition plugs. SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine 1 is provided with a center plug 7 1 and a side plug 7 2 in a single combustion chamber 1b. The center plug 7 1 is arranged at least one on a center part 1c of the combustion chamber 1b. Also, the side plug 7 2 is arranged at least one on a bore 1t side of the combustion chamber 1b. The center plug 7 1 and the side plug 7 2 are used in phase difference ignition in lean combustion area.
