Abstract:
The invention relates to a codec circuit for increasing the data transmission rate in a modem transmission. Said circuit comprises a first programmable digital filter (13) which is connected in a first transmitted signal path of the codec circuit, a second programmable digital filter (22) which is connected in a received signal path of the codec circuit and a modem signal identification unit (31) for identifying whether the transmitted signal, emitted in the transmitted signal path or whether the received signal, received in the received signal path is a modem signal. If a modem signal is identified, the modem signal identification unit (31) switches the first and second digital filters (13, 22) onto a broader filter bandwidth.
Abstract:
A telephone subscriber (102) line (106) calling signal current setting procedure compares the measured current into the subscriber load from a calling signal generator (114) with a stored (122) preset value with and adjusts the generator supply voltage (124) to obtain the correct value. Includes Independent claims for equipment using the procedure.
Abstract:
The subscriber circuit has a number of subscriber line interface circuits combined in a multi-way subscriber line interface circuit (1). The high energy components (30,31,36,37) of each interface circuit are provided as separate components, with feedback via the respective interface circuit. Pref. the high energy components of each interface circuit include an optical switch (36,37) and a transistor (30,31) connected in front of a diode (32,33), with the feedback of the individual components applied via an AC current path and a DC current path.

Abstract:
A transceiver (1) picks up data to be transmitted from a data plated-wire memory via a first data line (3) and writes this data into a register (4). Data to be transmitted is assembled in the data register in data blocks, passed on via second data lines (5) to an encoder (6) to encode it with a Reed Solomon encoding method and converted with Fast Fourier Transformation. The transformed data is then converted to an analog data signal.
