    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use fewer memories and to realize decoding with search algorithm with the small number of states by providing a processing unit storing a previous state(PS) associated with probability(ACP) with accumulation condition and a decoding unit decoding encoded data based on the stored previous state. SOLUTION: A state counter 40 outputs respective state count values to a modulo 2 unit 48 and a previous state locator 42. The previous state locator 42 selects several present states from all possible states of encoders for encoded data 50A and 50B, generates accumulated ACP against the selected present state, compares ACP with a threshold and stores PC containing AP in first and second memory units 60A and 60B based on a compared result. A decoding unit 68 decodes encoded data based on the stored previous state.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce persistent delay when access by an emergent call is tried to a wireless communication system by establishing a high priority call through the use of the parameter of a high priority class. SOLUTION: When access to a channel is requested by a wireless unit, an emergency and/or high priority durability test is started (82).     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide separate control information for a forward voice channel and a data channel by transmitting power control information for a 2nd channel between parts of a 2nd segment of a pilot channel. SOLUTION: A part used for power control is 1/4 of a segment, i.e., a power control group(PCG). Power control parts and/or PCGs of continuous segments are alternately used to offer voice power control information of a forward channel and data power control information. Here, a power control signal is transmitted three times for a voice channel, while a power control signal is transmitted one time for a data channel. Power control parts 80, 82 and 84 include a command on the forward voice power control, and a power control part 86 includes a power control command for forward data channel power control. Power control parts 88, 90 and 92 are used for forward voice power control, and the power control part 92 is used for forward data power control.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the interference due to the leak by outputting a pilot signal under a prescribed condition and controlling the amplitude and phase of a feedback signal based on the signal inputted then in regard to a means which feeds an output signal back to the input side and eliminates the leak signal component. SOLUTION: The signals inputted to a directional saucer-shaped antenna 13 from a base station are amplified and sent to a wireless terminal via an omnidirectional antenna 14. However, some of these amplified signals are inputted to the antenna 13 via a leak path 28 and causes the interference. A phase amplitude control circuit 31 shifts the phase of the sampling output signal sent from a directional coupler 30 by 180 degrees and feeds back the output signal via a directional coupler 33 to eliminate the leak signal component. A voltage control oscillator 40 transmits a burst-shaped pilot signal of 100n seconds via the antenna 14 when a normal signal is kept at a low level. A null circuit 39 analyzes the signals inputted via the antenna 13 and sets the circuit 31.

    Abstract: The invention is a repeater for a telecommunications transmission system such as a CDMA wireless system. The repeater reduces leakage by means of a feedback signal (on 30,31,32,33) whose amplitude and phase are adjusted (in 31) in response to the amplitude and phase of a sampled input signal (from 35) when a switch (24) turns off the normal output of the repeater for a short period of time. In one embodiment, a pilot signal (from 40) is transmitted during this time period so that the sampled input is the leakage signal. In another embodiment, the sampled input is the normal transmission signal received during the time period.

    Abstract: Separate power control for the forward voice channel and forward data channel is provided without using additional bandwidth or decreasing the amount of pilot signal provided from the mobile to the base station. Alternating voice and data power control commands or information are transmitted in the pilot channel by a mobile to a base station. In one embodiment, the power control portion of a first pilot channel segment is used to provide power control for the forward voice channel and then in the following pilot channel segment, the power control portion is used to provide power control for the forward data channel. In other embodiments, other than a 50/50 mix between voice and data power control is provided in the mobile's pilot channel. For example, forward voice channel power control commands may be transmitted two or more times for each transmission of forward data channel power control commands.
