Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain pile fabric for interior having excellent opening properties, touch, compression recovery and high-quality feeling while suppressing occurrence of diamond gloss, whiting, fibrillation, finger mark, etc. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic yarn of flat section shape having a protruded part with 1-6 micron width along the section surface layer, a ratio of sectional secondary moment of major axis to that of the minor axis of 2.25-9.0 and 1,170X10 to 2,080X10 mm sectional secondary moment is formed. Separately synthetic yarn containing a finely granulated inert substance such as titanium oxide, silicon oxide, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, kaolin, clay or zinc oxide, preferably titanium oxide is made. The synthetic yarn is preferably polyester-based yarn having 1.5-4 denier and pile yarn comprising at least >=50wt.% of the flat section yarn and 5-50wt.% of the inert fine particle- containing yarn are produced to give pile yarn such as moquette.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the subject raw fibers having excellent bulkiness under high loads, lightweight, rich thick touch and rich heat insulating property and suitable for coverlets and mattresses by subjecting polyester fibers to drawing, twisting, opening and thermally treating processes. CONSTITUTION:Hollow non-drawn fibers provided with a latent twisting characteristic e.g. by giving a difference of orientation degrees between the fibers by a chimney cooling method are drawn at the glass transition point to 100 deg.C, mechanically twisted with a crimping machine in a twist number of 3-5 twists/25 mm, cut, opened in an opening degree of 30-50%, and subsequently heated with heated steam of 170-250 deg.C to prepare the objective raw fibers having a hollowness of 20-40%.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the subject fiber having excellent card passability and spinnability wet touch, mild luster, good color-developing property, shape stability, etc., and suitable for webs by spinning conjugationally an elastomer as a core with a non-elastic polyester as a sheath. CONSTITUTION:A polyester of terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol as a hard segment is block-copolymerized with polyethylene glycol as a soft segment to prepare a polyester elastomer (A). The component A as a core component is combined to a non-elastic polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate as a sheath component preferably in a ratio of the component A of 40-95wt.% to provide the objective conjugate fiber.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber suitable as interlinings of clothes, sanitary materials, beddings, etc., by using polyethylene terephthalate-based polyester containing a specific amount of copolymerized isophthalic acid as one component and imparting a specific crimp shape and stretch performance thereto. CONSTITUTION:The objective conjugate fiber, obtained by eccentrically joining (A) a polyethylene terephthalate-based polyester containing 7-15mol% copolymerized isophthalic acid to (B) polyethylene terephthalate or other polyethylene terephthalate-based polyesters and having latent crimpability so as to provide >=55 number of developed peaks/25mm in heat treatment at 180 deg.C under no load and crimps imparted thereto so that crimps before crimp developing treatment may satisfy formulas I and II (N is the number of crimps; Y is the ratio of percentage crimp) and capable of forming nonwoven fabrics excellent in surface quality without any neps and uneven thickness.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polymer having excellent moldability, etc., by carrying out esterification reaction in the presence of an organic Sn compound catalyst and adding a polycondensation reaction catalyst to the reaction system under a specific condition, thereby remarkably decreasing the content of minute foreign materials originated from the organic Sn compound in the polymer. CONSTITUTION:A dicarboxylic acid component composed mainly of terephthalic acid and a diol component composed mainly of 1,4-butanediol are subjected to esterification reaction in the presence of an organotin compound (e.g. butyltin hydroxyoxide) as an esterification reaction catalyst. After the completion of the esterification reaction, a polycondensation reaction catalyst (e.g. tetraethyl titanate) is added to the reaction system under agitation at a circumferential speed of >=4m/sec, preferably >=5m/sec to effect the polycondensation reaction and obtain the objective polymer. The above polycondensation reaction catalyst is preferably added to the system in the form of a diol solution, etc.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain cosmetic cotton which has an excellent water absorptivity an water resistance an has stiffness and voluminous feel by incorporating polyester staple fibers and/or acrylic staple fibers at a specific ratio into the non- woven fabric of the cosmetic cotton consisting of an inside layer made of the non-woven fabric and an external material including the inside layer. SOLUTION: The cosmetic cotton used at the time of removing a user's makeup, etc., consists of the inside layer 1 made of the non-woven fabric an the exterior material 2 including the inside layer 1. In such a case, the polyester stapes fibers and/or the acrylic stapes fibers are incorporated at >=20wt.% into the non-woven fabric. The polyester stapes fibers are particularly preferably polyethylene terephthalate stapes fibers, for which the use of their copolymer and denatured matter is possible as well. Cotton is preferably incorporated into the non-woven fabric. The content of the cotton is recommended to be 5 to 80wt.% over the entire part of the nonwoven fabric. Further, the incorporation of binder stapes fibers, such as core and sheath type polyester stapes fibers and unstretched polyester yarn, into the non-woven fabric is possible as well.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester fiber excellent in water permeability and high- order processability by applying an inorganic salt of an alkylsulfonic acid, an inorganic salt of an alkylsarcosine and/or an inorganic salt of an alkyloylsarcosine thereto. SOLUTION: This polyester fiber comprises an inorganic salt of an alkylsulfonic acid, an inorganic salt of an alkylsarcosine and/or an inorganic salt of an alkyloylsarcosine applied thereto. The polyester fiber is obtained by applying the inorganic salt of the 8-22C alkylsulfonic acid such as sodium oleylsulfonate in an amount of 0.02-0.3wt.% based on the fiber weight and the inorganic salt of the 8-22C alkylsarcosine such as sodium octylsarcosinate and/or the inorganic salt of the 8-22C alkyloylsarcosine such as sodium caproylsarcosinate in an amount of 0.01-2wt.% based on the fiber weight to a tow of the polyester fiber and then cutting the resultant tow to a prescribed length. Thereby, the resultant polyester staple fiber is excellent in water permeability.
