Abstract:
A coating material for an aluminum substrate for inkjet computer-to-plate and preparation method and use of same. The composition of the coating material is: high polymer 5-40 wt %; nano-sized and/or micro-sized oxide particles 5-30 wt %; organic solvent constituting the remainder. The high polymer is at least one selected from the group consisting of MMA-BMA-MA terpolymer resin, phenolic resin, epoxy resin, polyurethane, polyester, urea-formaldehyde resin, polyvinyl formal, polyvinyl butyral and gum arabic. The preparation method for obtaining the coating material is to mix the ingredients together and stir at room temperature. A spin coating method or a roll coating method is used to coat the coating material onto a clean aluminum substrate having not undergone electrolytic graining and anodic oxidation treatment, and then the substrate is baked, resulting in the required roughness.
Abstract:
A method for producing patterned metallic coatings, includes an initiator composition having at least one active substance being added to a substrate. A precursor composition including at least one precursor compound for a metallic layer is applied to the initiator composition coating. A metallic layer is then deposited by the active substance. At least one composition is applied as an emulsion in order to obtain a patterning of the resultant metallic layer.
Abstract:
A coating composition comprising a polyester, a mixture of novolak and resole resins and a vinyl chloride polymer, and the use of these compositions to coat metal containers is disclosed.
Abstract:
The subject matter of the present invention is a method for producing coated, and in particular painted, building boards (1), preferably for the interior finishing of buildings. First, the respective building board (1) is provided on its longitudinal edges (2) and/or transverse edges with a bevel (4). Then, the respective building board (1) is transferred to a rubber-like transporting belt (7) in such a way that the edges (2) respectively provided with the bevels (4) are arranged transversely in relation to the conveying direction (F) of the transporting belt (7) and the bevels (4) are arranged adjacent to a visible side (6) of the building board (1), facing away from the transporting belt (7). Finally, a coating material, and in particular paint (13), is applied to the visible side (6) of the building board (1) and respective bevel areas (5) of the bevels (4) in one operation with the aid of at least one roller (11) arranged above the transporting belt (7) and rotating substantially transversely in relation to the conveying direction (F).
Abstract:
An exterior panel for a kitchen appliance includes a metallic substrate having a predetermined surface pattern on at least one side of the metallic substrate, wherein the metallic substrate is formed to include a predetermined contour. A coating layer is an organic paint coating composition on the at least one side of the metallic substrate, the coating layer including a predetermined color and a fingerprint resistive surface, wherein the coating layer is at least partially translucent such that the predetermined surface pattern is visible with the naked eye through the coating layer, and wherein the predetermined surface pattern is modified by the coating layer to reflect the combination of the predetermined surface pattern and the predetermined color of the coating layer.
Abstract:
In one aspect, methods of making a carbon coating are described herein. In some implementations, a method of making a carbon coating comprises applying a first adhesive material to a substrate surface to provide an adhesive surface; rolling a carbon source over the adhesive surface to provide a carbon layer on the adhesive surface; and rolling an adhesive roller over the carbon layer to remove some but not all of the carbon of the carbon layer to provide the carbon coating.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to intumescent fireproofing coatings and methods to apply these coatings. In particular, the disclosure relates to epoxy-based intumescent fireproofing coatings and methods of applying these coating having a mesh reinforcement.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a support for temporary bonding a workpiece such as a thick device wafer. The support comprises a carrier having a supporting surface and an isolation film. A first side of the isolation film is bonded to the supporting surface with a peeling strength of from 0.01 to 50.0 g/cm. The invention also provides a method of using the support to e.g. grind the workpiece in making thinned products such as thin silicon wafer, optical lens, thin LCD glass, and thin rock crystal wafer, among others.

A printing method according to the present invention includes an applying step of applying a curable resin-containing ink onto a transfer sheet (10), a heating and thickening step of heating the ink on the transfer sheet (10) to increase viscosity of the ink, a transfer step of transferring the ink on the transfer sheet (10) to a printing target (15), and a curing step of curing the ink on the printing target (15).
Abstract:
A painting kit includes one or more paint pads and a paint tray. The paint tray includes a reservoir for holding a supply of paint, and means for transferring paint to a paint pad. In one embodiment the paint tray includes a rotating cylinder to transfer paint from the paint reservoir to one or more paint pads. In another embodiment, one or more paint pedestal surfaces are coated with paint from the reservoir in order to transfer paint to paint pads. Each of the paint pads and the trays includes features to selectively apply paint to the paint pad and to avoid applying paint to selected longitudinal edges of the paint pad. The lack of paint along the longitudinal edges helps to prevent paint from dripping or being forced from the longitudinal edge onto adjacent dry surfaces, and thereby enables a user to paint uniformly near edges while avoiding adjacent areas.
