Abstract: Provided is a composite additive for fuel capable of significantly delaying a phase separation phenomenon even in poor environmental conditions such as high humidity, low temperature, storage for a long period of time, and the like, preventing freezing in winter due to a lower freezing point, and having an excellent cleaning effect on impurities fixedly adhered in an engine. Further, the composite additive for fuel may prevent fuel from being used for purposes other than as a fuel, for example, as a drink, and avoid causing fatal problems.

Abstract: The invention relates to the field of petrochemistry, and specifically to a method for synthesizing high-octane oxygen containing components of motor fuel. The objects of the invention consist in variants of a method for synthesizing high-octane oxygen-containing components of motor fuel from olefin-containing gas mixtures via oxidative non-catalytic conversions using nitrous oxide, and the subsequent condensation and hydrogenation of the produced oxygenates using heterogeneous catalysts. The high-octane components according to the proposed method consist in a mixture of carbonyl compounds (ketones, aldehydes, hydroxy ketones, hydroxy aldehydes) C2-C9 and/or branched hydrocarbons C5-C9 and/or alcohols in different ratios. Depending on the production method variant, the octane number of a mixture of the proposed high-octane components consists in a value between 100 and 130 RON. The technical result consists in broadening the resource base for the production of high-octane gasolines and of a variety of environmentally-friendly high-octane additives.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a composition for use as an additive for fuels and lubricants including a reductive amination product of a vinyl terminated macromonomer (VTM) based aldehyde. Optionally aldehyde is reacted with the amino compound under condensation conditions sufficient to give an imine intermediate, and the imine intermediate is reacted under hydrogenation conditions sufficient to give the composition. The aldehyde is formed by reacting a VTM under hydroformylation conditions sufficient to form the aldehyde. A reductive amination method for making a composition for use as an additive for fuels and lubricants. The method includes reacting a VTM based aldehyde with an amino compound containing at least one —NH— group under condensation conditions sufficient to give an imine intermediate, and reacting the imine intermediate under hydrogenation conditions sufficient to give said composition. The aldehyde is formed by reacting a VTM under hydroformylation conditions sufficient to form the aldehyde.

Abstract: A method of introducing additives to an air intake system of an engine in order to overcome one or more of the various problems created by formulation of additives in fuels. The method controls at least one of the amount, aerosol particle size and timing of introduction of additives based on information relevant to operation of the engine. The introduced additives form an air-additive mixture and are carried by the airflow in the air-intake system to the combustion chamber of the engine. Another aspect of the invention is an additive introduction system that includes one or more containers for additives, a control system for determining at least one of the amount, aerosol particle size and timing of introduction of the additives, and a device to introduce the additives into the air intake system under the control of the control system.

Abstract: A diesel fuel lubricant as a replacement for sulfur lubrication in Ultra-Low and Low Sulfur Diesel fuels, the process for producing said lubricant, and the method of using said lubricant. This lubricant comprises alpha-olefins; low odor aromatic solvents; and at least one a base oil selected from the base oil group consisting of hydroisomerized high base oils and HT Severe Hydro-cracked Base Oils; as well as other ingredients. Also disclosed is a method for producing this lubricant.
