Abstract: The present invention provides a catalyst composition for producing hydrogen and preparation method and use thereof, wherein the catalyst composition comprises a catalytic component and a supporter having a pyrochlore structure. By using the catalyst composition of the present invention, carbon deposition can be reduced and the oxidative steam reforming of ethanol could be operated for a long period of time with high ethanol conversion rate and selectivity of hydrogen.

Abstract: A process for converting biomass to products is described. Biomass is contacted with hydrogen in the presence of a fluidized bed of hydropyrolysis catalyst in a reactor vessel under hydropyrolysis conditions; and products and char are removed from the reactor vessel. The products leave the fluidized bed at an exit bed velocity, the char has a settling velocity that is less than the exit bed velocity and hydropyrolysis catalyst has a settling velocity that is greater than the exit bed velocity.

Abstract: There is described a hydroprocessing process of at least one gas oil cut having a weighted mean temperature (TMP) between 240° C. and 350° C. using a catalyst comprising at least one metal of the group VIB and/or at least one metal of the group VIII of the periodic classification and a support comprising an amorphous mesoporous alumina having a connectivity (Z) greater than 2.7, the hydroprocessing process operating at a temperature between 250° C. and 400° C., at a total pressure between 2 MPa and 10 MPa with a ratio of hydrogen volume to volume of hydrocarbon-containing feedstock between 100 and 800 litres per litre and at an Hourly Volume Rate (HVR) which is defined by the ratio of the volume flow rate of liquid hydrocarbon-containing feedstock to volume of catalyst fed into the reactor between 1 and 10 h−1.

Abstract: The hydroisomerization catalyst of the present invention is a catalyst used for hydroisomerization of a hydrocarbon, including a support including a calcined zeolite modified with at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Na, K, Cs, Mg, Ca, Ba, and K, and having a thermal history that includes heating at 350° C. or more, and at least one inorganic oxide selected from the group consisting of alumina, silica, titania, boria, zirconia, magnesia, ceria, zinc oxide, phosphorus oxide, and a composite oxide containing a combination of at least two or more of these oxides; and at least one metal supported on the support and selected from the group consisting of elements belonging to Groups 8 to 10 of the periodic table, molybdenum and tungsten.

Abstract: The present application relates to methods of hydrolyzing a polyester by contacting the polyester with a solid acid catalyst. Also disclosed are solid acid catalysts that are useful for hydrolyzing a polyester and methods of making the solid acid catalysts. Furthermore, compositions including one or both of a dicarboxylic acid and a diol, and at least one solid acid catalyst are also disclosed.
