Abstract:
An upper extremity rehabilitation device includes: a base, a rotary shaft unit, a rotation drive unit, a brake unit, a linear move unit, a hand gripping assembly, a first and a second connecting rods. The rotary shaft unit is pivoted to the base. The rotation drive unit is disposed on the base and includes a drive portion connected to the first shaft portion. The brake unit includes an outer pipe disposed on the rotary shaft, and an inner pipe movably disposed in the outer pipe. The linear move unit includes a linear seat pivoted to the second shaft portion, and a linear platform movably disposed on the linear seat. The hand gripping assembly is disposed on the linear platform. The first connecting rod is pivoted to the brake unit. The second connecting rod is pivoted to the first connecting rod and the linear seat.
Abstract:
A massage device having a body with two end sections attached to a center section. The center section of the body has a motor and a heating unit, and each end section has an eccentric weight that are connected to the motor such that vibrations generated by the motor are transferred to each eccentric weight. The massage device also has a control mechanism configured to adjust the vibration of the massage device, and a microcontroller connected to the control mechanism and the motor to control the operation of the motor. A storage unit for storing a message device is capable of sanitizing, heating, and charging the message device.
Abstract:
A stowable sensory learning assembly configured to provide a multi-sensory stimulation work space for people with sensory disorders and various learning disabilities that can be efficiently stowed when not in use and efficiently and rapidly deployed when needed. The stowable sensory learning assembly includes a horizontal base connected to a vertical housing and a canopy housing, display housing, and desk housing. The display housing and desk housing are movable relative to the canopy housing between a stowed position where the desk housing and display housing are substantially parallel to the canopy housing, and a deployed position where the display housing and the desk housing are angled relative to one another to define a work space.
Abstract:
A spinal decompression apparatus includes a horizontal base having left and right sides, a front end and a rear end and having an upper surface upon which a patient can lie on his back. Left and right horizontal guide rails are located adjacent the left and right sides of the base and left and right uprights are adjacent the rear end thereof. Left and right inclined rails have their upper ends movably attached to the uprights and their lower ends movable horizontally along the guide rails. A knee bar extends horizontally across the apparatus between the inclined rails and is positioned so as to permit a person lying on the base to place the back of his knees around the knee bar. A motor connected to the knee bar and operated by the patient moves the knee bar up or down the inclined rails. The angle of inclination of the inclined rails is manually adjustable.
Abstract:
An apparatus having an upper frame adapted to at least partially encircle a person and including a lower frame and two double scissor mechanisms for coupling the upper frame to the lower frame, wherein the distance between the upper frame and the lower frame can be varied by adjusting the double scissor mechanisms, and the walker is raised or lowered. Scissor lift assemblies housed in the lower frame, each powered by a motor or compressor, raise and lower each double scissor mechanism.
Abstract:
A method for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes elevating the heart of an individual to a first height relative to a lower body of the individual. The lower body may be in a substantially horizontal plane. The method may also include elevating the head of the individual to a second height relative to the lower body of the individual. The second height may be greater than the first height. The method may further include performing one or more of a type of CPR or a type of intrathoracic pressure regulation while elevating the heart and the head. The first height and the second height may be determined based on one or both of the type of CPR or the type of intrathoracic pressure regulation.
Abstract:
A crutch grip (100) includes a grip (101) disposed between a first grip end (102) and a second grip end (103). The first grip end and the second grip end can define a partially annular receiver for a crutch post (106,107). One or more retaining clips (108,109) can include a base member (408,409), a first, curved, cantilevered leg (410,411), and a second, curved, cantilevered leg (412,413). The retaining clips can removably engage an outer surface (202,203) of the first grip end or the second grip end such that an annular clasp (602,603) is defined between the first grip end or the second grip end and the retaining clips.
Abstract:
A personal mobility device includes a frame including first, second, third, and fourth frame members. The first and second frame members are connected, such as by a pivot joint. The third and fourth frame members are connected to collapse in the same plane as the first and second frame members. The first and third, and second and fourth, frame members are also connected via hinges. This allows the device to fold (“collapse”) and unfold (“expand”) substantially simultaneously in two substantially orthogonal planes. A tension wire assembly is provided that biases the frame into a collapsed configuration; a locking mechanism is provided that holds the frame in an expanded configuration. Alternatively, tendons can bias the frame into an expanded configuration.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the massage technical field, and provides a multifunctional head massager, which comprises a helmet including a front shell and a rear shell, and a controller connected to the helmet. A blinder for massaging eyes is detachably connected to the front shell. In the present invention, the blinder is detachably connected to the front shell, so that the head massager has the eye massage function at the same time. When users don't want to massage their eyes, the blinder can be removed, and the head massage function is not affected. Thus, the users can choose the massage way freely, this design has more complete function, and is more human-friendly.
