Abstract:
A highly portable solar UV disinfection and water storage container with a uniquely traceable security seal that passively indicates by means of a permanent photochromic color change the efficacy of the UV disinfection process performed upon the drinking water within the sealed container.
Abstract:
A semi-portable water purification system utilizing, a foot actuated or air compressor pumping unit, a reverse osmosis unit, optional post filter for removing odor and color, and other contaminants from a water source. The foot/compressor operated pumping units feed compressed air into a high-pressure tank which source water has been fed into to supply the necessary water pressure for the reverse osmosis membrane. The system further prolongs the efficiency of the source water by simply recycling it a number of times prior to disposal.
Abstract:
An electric plasma arc apparatus and method produces nitrogen compounds, solely using ambient air extracted in proximity to the apparatus. The nitrogen compounds are brought into contact with a water processing system, forming nitrate on-site. Hydrogen sulfide present in the water processing system is removed, and the production of hydrogen sulfide by sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) is eliminated by introducing nitrate into the system, whereby denitrifying microorganisms, using the nitrate, outcompete the sulfate-reducing bacteria for the available carbon nutrients, thus preventing the SRB from producing hydrogen sulfide. Nitrate ions generated in the water processing system which contains the denitrifying microorganisms can enhance oil recovery by means of microbial enhanced oil recovery mechanisms. Further, the electric plasma arc apparatus and methodology eliminate major costs of conventional treatment techniques, including the transportation and storage of nitrate and the need for a continuous supply of natural gas and water.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a cascade voltage amplifier for producing an amplified output in pulse or continuous wave form comprises at least one non-final stage with an electron tube configured as a switching and Class A or C amplifying structure. A final stage comprises an electron tube configured as a Class A or C amplifying structure. The at least one non-final stage and the final stage are connected in series, and the amplified output has a voltage of at least 1000 volts. Further disclosed is a method of activating a plurality of cascaded electron tube stages within a common vacuum enclosure. Beneficially, a sufficient amount of energy supplied to the first stage serially propagates through any intervening stage to the final stage so as to facilitate activation of all tube stages.
Abstract:
A hand-held spray device is provided, which includes a tank for holding a supply of liquid to be treated and a functional generator, which is in fluid communication with the tank. The functional generator includes an anode chamber having an anode, a cathode chamber having a cathode and being separated from the anode chamber by an ion exchange membrane, wherein at least one of the anode or cathode comprises a metallic mesh, an inlet coupled to receive liquid supplied from the tank, which is coupled to the anode chamber and the cathode chamber. The functional generator is configured to combine an entire flow of anolyte liquid from the anode chamber with an entire flow of catholyte liquid from the cathode chamber along a single path that passes through an outlet. A pump pumps the liquid from the tank and out the spray output.
Abstract:
A filtration and remediation system is disclosed herein including a quiet tank component, a circulation component, and a storage and filtration component, each with frames. The system can include a scalping shaker which can receive a slurry and separate a particulate from the slurry, forming an effluent. A tank can receive the effluent and a weir can remove oil from the effluent, forming a cleaned effluent. A second weir can discharge the cleaned effluent. The circulation component can include a tank and an absorbent material. The absorbent material can receive the cleaned effluent and remove oil from the cleaned effluent, forming a circulation effluent. A sludge can settle within the circulation tank from the circulation effluent, forming a cleaned circulation stream. The storage and filtration component can include a filtration membrane which can receive and separate the cleaned circulation stream into a clean permeate and a dirty concentrate.
Abstract:
A mobile water treatment apparatus to on-load a dirty fluid into a storage container attached to a motor vehicle and transport the fluid in the storage container from a first location and to a second location where the fluid is filtered by a filtration system attached to the motor vehicle. The filtered fluid is discharged from the mobile water treatment apparatus at the second location.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device for generation of ion network for water treatment in tanks, especially for reduction of cloud and for stabilization of water surfaces, where the device is arranged on a floating body equipped with a drive for initiation of mutual motion of the floating body and water, whereas the floating body is equipped with an ejector and at least one source of electrolytically and/or photocatalytically treated water connected with an outlet (9) that leads into ejection and/or ejected water of an ejector.Eventually, an inlet of chemical agents (11) and/or an inlet of biological agents (12), an inlet of oxidation agent (13) or an inlet of air (14) lead into ejection and/or ejected water of the ejector.
