Abstract: A control valve includes a valve body with a plurality of ports and a plurality of annular flow passages. At least one valve element such as a piston which includes a plurality of annular flow passages and a longitudinal flow passage is selectively movable within a bore within the valve body through operation of a valve controller. The valve controller includes a motor that is selectively operative to control the position of the at least one valve element to enable liquid flow through a plurality of flow paths. The valve may be utilized in system arrangements which oxidize and filter out contaminants in liquids such as water.

Abstract: A system for dissolving solid chemical may include three reservoirs positioned in a vertically stacked arrangement. A solid chemical reservoir configured to receive solid chemical to be dissolved may be nested in a solution generator reservoir into which water is introduced to erode the solid chemical. A dissolved chemical reservoir can be positioned under the solid chemical reservoir and the solution generator reservoir. The dissolved chemical reservoir can store solution generated using the system. In some examples, a recirculation circuit is used to recirculate water introduced into the solution generator reservoir until a solution having a target concentration of the chemical being dissolved is achieved. The recirculation circuit may include a recirculation line having an outlet aimed at the bottom wall of the solid chemical reservoir.

Abstract: A process is described for introducing a catalyst into a polymerization zone by detecting one or a combination of (i) a change in a concentration of the catalyst in a catalyst feed stream upstream of the polymerization zone, (ii) a change in a concentration of monomer in the polymerization zone, and (iii) a change in a polymer production rate of the polymerization zone, adjusting a first catalyst flow rate of the catalyst in the catalyst feed stream to a second catalyst flow rate based on the one or a combination of (i), (ii), and (iii), and introducing the catalyst into the polymerization zone downstream of a location in the catalyst feed stream where the step of adjusting is performed. A catalyst injection system for carrying out such a process is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention mainly provides a non-contact reactor consisting of: a reaction vessel having a particularly-designed size, a plurality of injection modules, an agitator, a heat exchange module, and an electrical gate valve module. When this non-contact reactor is operated to produce, operators are able to inject at least one precursor solution into the reaction nanometer-scale semiconductor crystallites vessel and make the injected precursor solution reach a specific position in the reaction vessel by using the electrical gate valve to control the injection pressure of the injection modules. Moreover, the operators can further properly control the rotation speed of the agitator through a controller, so as to evenly and quickly mix the injected precursor solution and a specific solution pre-filled into the reaction vessel to a mixture solution; therefore, the acceleration of production rate and the enhance of production yield of the semiconductor nanocrystals are carried out.

Abstract: The present invention is such that, with H1 being the height from a slurry outlet to a control liquid level, H2 being the height from the control liquid level to the top of a flash vessel, and being the diameter of the flash vessel, 0.35D≦H1≦0.45D, and 0.75D≦H2≦0.85D, and at least one liquid level sensor detects a slurry liquid surface at a control liquid level; when the liquid level sensor detects a slurry liquid surface which has risen, a slurry discharge valve installed on a slurry discharge pipe derived from the flash vessel is opened; and when the liquid level sensor detects a slurry liquid surface which has fallen, the slurry discharge valve is closed, whereby opening and closing of the valve is appropriately controlled thereby to reduce troubles with a steam discharge pipe, the slurry discharge pipe, and the slurry discharge valve.
