    Abstract: A cartridge storing a therapeutic agent can be authenticated before the therapeutic agent is applied to a user using an inexpensive process involving cloud storage and color detection. An applicator for delivering the therapeutic agent can include a space for receiving a cartridge that can be selected from a group of cartridges, a color sensor configured to detect the color of a color-coded identifying mark on the selected cartridge, and a processor that can receive profile information from a cloud service, including color information of what the color-code identifying mark should be, and match the color of the color-coded identifying mark on the cartridge with the color information. The processor can control if the applicator allows delivery of the therapeutic agent based on the authentication. The profile information can be uploaded by scanning a QR code on the cartridge and uploading associated data to the cloud service.

    Abstract: A colorimeter 1 that measures a chromaticity of a measured object A comprises: a first light source unit 11 that emits first irradiation light having a first spectrum S1; a second light source unit 12 that emits second irradiation light having a second spectrum S2 different from the first spectrum S1; an integrating sphere 61 that has irradiation light including the first irradiation light and the second irradiation light incident thereon; a light receiver 20 that detects measured light resulting from irradiation of the measured object A with the irradiation light emitted from the integrating sphere 61; and a controller 50 that calculates an optical spectrum of the measured light based on a detection signal of the measured light. A superimposed spectrum S of the first spectrum S1 and the second spectrum S2 corresponds to a reference spectrum S0 of a standard light source as reference for calculating the chromaticity.

    Abstract: A system including a processor and a memory configured to store code executed by the processor is provided. In one or more implementations, the processor is configured by the code to calibrate measurements made by color measurement devices. In one particular implementation, the processor receives a measurement dataset of one or more color values, for a sample obtained by a color measurement device. The processor is configured to convert the measurement dataset to a standard space measurement dataset using a standard space measurement model and calculate a color dataset based on the standard space measurement dataset using a color conversion model. The processor is further configured to output the calculated color dataset to at least one of a display, database or local memory store.

    Abstract: An arrangement for automatically contactlessly detecting elongate objects (W), such as cables, wires or profiles, has a quasi-coaxially arranged group of a first optical measuring system (D) for determining the external diameter and a second optical measuring system (C) for determining the color using a different measurement principle. The functional and local separation of the two measuring systems (C, D) is achieved by using different wavelength ranges and by a long-pass filter (C3). A third, virtual measuring system (P) may be provided for the purpose of determining the cable location and is used to weight measured values of the color measurement and measured values of an optional eddy current sensor. The optical measuring systems (D, C, P) for determining the diameter, the color and the position have a common optical disc-shaped measuring volume (DCPv) which is preferably arranged centrally in the guide device (4a, 4b) for the elongate object (W).

    Abstract: The present concept is a compact portable colour sensor for measuring colour of a substrate. The sensor includes a lower housing including an interior, the lower housing for cooperatively mating together with a upper housing, a detector portion including a printed circuit board rigidly connected to an interior of the lower housing and substantially enveloped by the upper and lower housings when in a mated position The printed circuit board includes at least one LED and one colour sensor mounted on a bottom side of the printed circuit board, and at least one transparent light transmitting light pipe and a transparent lens is mounted interferingly between the bottom side of the printed circuit board and the interior of the lower housing, and wherein the compact portable colour sensor is configured such that light transmitted by the LED impinges upon the substrate and is at least partially reflected back to the colour sensor to take a measurement. Preferably wherein the lower housing has an inverted truncated conical shape and the upper housing has an upright truncated conical shape.
