Abstract:
A two-fluid nozzle is provided. The two-fluid nozzle includes a main nozzle, a mixing chamber and a nozzle orifice connected to the mixing chamber and positioned downstream of the mixing chamber. A ring of secondary air nozzles surrounding the nozzle orifice is also provided.
Abstract:
A fluid spraying device comprises a fluid tube rotatably disposed therein and a conveying tube disposed in the fluid tube. The fluid tube has a conveying section, a bent section, and a decreasing section connected therebetween. The decreasing section has a cross section area smaller than that of the bent section. One end of the conveying tube extends through the fluid tube to the decreasing section, so as to cause Venturi effect to cause a contained fluid being sprayed out from the conveying tube when a fluid flows through the fluid tube.
Abstract:
A robotic spray coating assembly is used in a method for spraying a coating. The assembly may include a robotic arm having a remote end region and a coating head mounted on the remote end region. The coating head emits a coating material within a defined coating delivery region via at least one first orifice located in the coating delivery region, the at least one first orifice connected to a coating supply. One or more second orifices are positioned in a pattern beyond the periphery of the coating delivery region, and a fluid supply is connected to the one or more second orifices. Fluid emitted from the one or more second orifices forms a fluid curtain that at least partially encircles the coating delivery region, thereby minimizing overspray emerging therefrom. The present invention also discloses a vehicle spray painting system and a method of spray painting a vehicle.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a spray gun incorporating techniques for delivering a spray fluid between, next to, or inside of horn holes of an air atomization cap are provided. In accordance with certain embodiments, the spray gun includes a fluid delivery tip assembly. The spray gun also includes an air atomization cap disposed coaxially around the fluid delivery tip assembly, wherein the air atomization cap comprises one or more shaping air horns configured to deliver shaping air, and each shaping air horn comprises a first spray fluid passage configured to deliver a first spray fluid between, next to, or inside of one or more shaping air streams from the shaping air horn. The spray gun also includes a second spray fluid passage configured to deliver a second spray fluid to a fluid tip exit of the fluid delivery tip assembly.
Abstract:
A multichannel printhead for mixing purposes is presented, comprising a first set of fluid outlets each outlet discharging an amount of a first fluid, a second set of fluid outlets each outlet discharging an amount of a second fluid, whereby corresponding outlets of the first and second set are configured to internally or externally lead together and mix the fluids, and whereby at least the fluid discharge of the first set of fluid outlets is controlled by drop-on-demand fluid ejectors responsive to control signals.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a paint-spraying apparatus for generating a shaped paint jet, including a paint nozzle positioned in an annular gap, wherein the paint nozzle comprises a needle with a needle head and also comprises a paint outlet opening, wherein the needle head is displaceable with respect to the paint outlet opening over a longitudinal axis of the needle in order to control a needle valve formed from the paint outlet opening and the needle head, and wherein the needle head, in a closed position of the paint nozzle, plugs in a form-fitting manner with respect to the longitudinal axis in the paint outlet opening, wherein the paint outlet opening is rotatable together with the needle head about the longitudinal axis in order to rotate the orientation of the shaped paint jet with respect to the longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a spray gun including: a body having a gun barrel; a coating material nozzle disposed on a tip end side of the gun barrel, and an air cap disposed on the tip end side of the gun barrel to surround a tip end portion of the coating material nozzle, wherein the tip end portion of the coating material nozzle has on the tip end surface thereof a guide wall spreading, and also has on the outer peripheral surface thereof a plurality of air grooves channeled in a longitudinal direction, and wherein each of the air grooves has a bottom portion gradually increasing in depth in the longitudinal direction, the bottom portion being located within a range of the guide wall on the tip end surface of the coating material nozzle.
Abstract:
A coating device comprises at least one application apparatus to discharge a coating agent from at least one coating agent nozzle. The application apparatus is configured to apply an oscillation to at least one of the coating agent and at least one coating agent jet such that at least one of the coating agent and the at least one coating agent jet break up into droplets.
Abstract:
Spraying apparatus and methods that employ multiple nozzle structures for producing multiple sprays of particles, e.g., nanoparticles, for various applications, e.g., pharmaceuticals, are provided. For example, an electrospray dispensing device may include a plurality of nozzle structures, wherein each nozzle structure is separated from adjacent nozzle structures by an internozzle distance. Sprays of particles are established from the nozzle structures by creating a nonuniform electrical field between the nozzle structures and an electrode electrically isolated therefrom.
Abstract:
Proposed are a medical spray head (300) for spraying one or more fluid substances with the use of a compressed gas, a spray device equipped therewith, and a method for using the same. In order to avoid too high a gas pressure, the spray head comprises a pressure relief valve (310) which guides the compressed gas out of the spray head if the gas pressure exceeds a threshold pressure. As a result, the risk of gas embolisms occurring during the use of such a spray head for medical purposes is reduced.
