    Abstract: A camshaft module includes: a head cover in which a camshaft is seated; a cylinder head with an upper portion coupled to a lower portion of the head cover, and in which a plurality of cam followers, operated according to a rotation of the camshaft, are formed on the upper portion; and a gasket sealing between the head cover and the cylinder head. The gasket has a plurality of cam holes formed therein. The cam followers penetrate through the cam holes. The gasket has supporting parts formed to protrude so as to prevent a falling of the cam followers around the cam holes.

    Abstract: A continuous variable valve duration apparatus may include a camshaft, first and second cam portions, of which the camshaft is inserted thereto, of which relative phase angles with respect to the camshaft are variable, a first and a second inner brackets transmitting rotation of the camshaft to the first and second cam portions respectively, a slider housing of which the first and second inner brackets are rotatably inserted thereto, of which relative position with respect to the camshaft is variable and of which a guide protruded portion is formed to an upper side thereof, cam caps of which each cam cap engaging portion is rotatably connected thereto, a connecting bracket connecting the cam caps and of which a guide slot for the guide protruded portion to be inserted thereto is formed thereto and a control portion selectively changing a position of the slider housing.

    Abstract: A fixture assembly includes a primary gage member, camshaft gages, a crankshaft gage and an engine gage, all of which have planar datum surfaces that are each dimensionally located relative to the primary gage member planar datum surface. The engine gage includes an engine datum surface, and is sized and shaped to receive, support and dimensionally locate the engine. An engine block datum surface is configured to be positioned on the engine datum surface thereby locating the engine relative to the primary gage member datum surface. The primary, first, second and engine datum surfaces are fixed in a parallel relationship to each other so as to form a parallel alignment system such that when the fixture assembly datum surfaces engage and form parallel alignment with the corresponding engine datum surfaces, the camshafts and crankshaft are angularly located in a predetermined angular orientation for proper timing of the engine assembly.
