The present invention relates to a process of fabricating P(VDF-TrFE) films by modifying the solvent composition. Two solvents MEK and DMSO were mixed in pre-determined ratios and that co-solvent mixture was used for fabricating the P(VDF-TrFE) films. By virtue of such method driven P(VDF-TrFE) films, the ferroelectric capacitors comprising of the same were found to achieve low voltage operation, thermal stability and fatigue endurance, which indicated improved ferroelectric performance of the devices. In addition, the films made by same process also yielded high piezo- and pyro-electric coefficient, indicating improved piezo- and pyro-electric performances of the devices.

A mobile radiation system is provided. The mobile radiation system comprises a mobile radiation device coupled to a control unit; a radiation blocker having an adaptor opening for receiving said mobile radiation device when said mobile radiation device is in a seated position on said radiation blocker; and a mobile carrier comprising a first compartment for housing said radiation blocker, a second compartment for housing said control unit, and a carrier motion device. The adaptor opening can dimensionally fit the mobile radiation device to block radiations from the mobile radiation device when said mobile radiation device is in the seated position. The mobile radiation device can produce radiation having peak radiation wavelength in a range of from about 250 nm to about 450 nm and can have a peak irradiation power in a range of from about 0.5 W/cm2 to about 10 W/cm2.

Specifically, a portable spraygun may be used to initiate radiation cure without the operative having to be protected from radiation. The spraygun comprises a supply channel for a radiation-curable coating composition, a needle, a reserve for the radiation-curable coating composition, and, optionally, a supply channel for a gas.

Methods for producing coatings on substrates are provided. These methods comprise the steps of introducing the substrate in a photo-initiated chemical vapor deposition reactor, introducing a gas precursor in the reactor, irradiating said gas precursor with UV radiation at a given wavelength, thereby at least partly photodissociating the gas precursor, until the coating is formed. In one method, the gas precursor is a mixture comprising carbon monoxide and hydrogen. In another method, the pressure in the react or is between about 0.75 and 1.25 atm and the gas precursor has an absorption cross section of about 5×10−16 cm2/molecule or less at said given wavelength.
