Abstract:
Disclosed are a dual-optical-path spectrophotometer and a color measurement method thereof. The spectrophotometer includes an integrating sphere, a light source, and a sensor. A second shutter, a semi-reflecting and semi-transmitting device and lenses are arranged between the detection hole and the sensor, and a light guide device and a first shutter are arranged between a light guide hole formed in the integrating sphere and the semi-reflecting and semi-transmitting device. The color measurement method includes the following steps. A first shutter is closed, a second shutter is opened, light, reflected by the measuring opening, enters a sensor and the sensor measures a spectral reflected signal of the object surface. The first shutter is opened, the second shutter is closed, reflected light enters the sensor, and the sensor measures a spectral reflected signal of a light source. A final sampled signal is calculated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for colour recipe calculation for matt colour standards with the steps: A) experimentally determining reflection spectra R(exp) of the color standard, comprising a first reflection spectrum (SPIN) and a second reflection spectrum (SPEX), with an integrating sphere color measurement instrument, wherein said first reflection spectrum (SPIN) is obtained at (A1) d/8°—geometry with the specular component included, and said second reflection spectrum (SPEX) is obtained at (A2) d/8°—geometry with the specular component excluded; B1) calculating a recipe for the matt color standard based on the experimentally determined reflection spectrum R(exp) with the specular component included, which has been corrected for the specular component, or B2) comparing the experimentally determined reflection spectrum R(exp) with the specular component included, which has been corrected for the specular component, with reflection spectra associated to color recipes of a color recipe database for glossy color shades and identifying from said color recipe database a stored reflection spectrum which comes closest to the experimentally determined reflection spectrum R(exp) of the matt color standard, as well as the associated colour recipe; C) converting reflection spectra data of the experimentally determined reflection spectra (SPIN, SPEX) of the matt colour standard to gloss values, and D) converting the gloss values obtained to the amount of matting agent (MAA) with the assistance of previously prepared calibration curves for the available colorant system.

A calibration device for calibrating output of a display device includes a light source, an integrating sphere, a filter, a narrowband instrument, a wideband instrument, and a data processing unit. The light rays emitted by the light source passing through the filter and enter the integrating sphere. The narrowband instrument and the wideband instrument are configured to measure the color measured data. The data processing unit is configured to receive the color measured data to generate a calibration matrix based on the color measured. The calibration matrix is used to calibrate the output from the wideband instrument.
Abstract:
The color of light emitted by an assembled light emitting diode (LED) based illumination device with at least two different wavelength converting materials is automatically tuned to within a predefined tolerance of a target color point by modifying portions of the wavelength converting materials. The color of light emitted from the assembled LED based illumination device is measured and a material modification plan is determined based at least in part on the measured color of light and a desired color of light to be emitted. The material modification plan may further include the location of the wavelength converting materials to be modified. The wavelength converting materials are selectively modified in accordance with the material modification plan so that the assembled LED based illumination device emits a second color of light that is within a predetermined tolerance of a target color point.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a spectrophotometric colorimeter based on LED light source, wherein the spectrophotometric colorimeter includes an integrating sphere, a coupling light path, and a spectrometer. An inner wall of the integrating sphere is arranged with a composite light source consisting of eight LEDs; a sphere wall of the integrating sphere defines an incident aperture; light emitted from each LED enters an interior of the integrating sphere through the incident aperture and is irradiated onto the inner wall. The coupling light path is configured to couple light at a measurement caliber such that the light can enter an incident split and to eliminate stray light from the inner wall. After emitting out from an observation aperture of the integrating sphere, the light enters the incident split through the coupling light path and is irradiated onto a linear-array sensor after being split by a spectral light path; and different pixels of the linear-array sensor correspond to light radiation strengths at different wavelengths.
