Abstract: A method for treating vapours generated during the pyrolysis of carbon fibre composites, such as production waste generated by the producers or composites of carbon fibre at the end of the service life thereof, includes, passing the vapours through a reactor which is at a high temperature and contains a solid material filler (solid bed), for example CSi, and optionally also a solid catalyst having an acid and/or reforming function, preferably both, for example a transition metal supported on an acid substrate, such as Ni on zeolite. Following the condensation of the vapours resulting from the treatment, an improved aqueous liquid phase, a minimum or non-existent organic fraction and a gaseous phase of increased added value are obtained.

Abstract: The invention refers to a process for rejuvenating a hydrotreating catalyst comprising a group VIB hydrogenation metal and/or a group VIII hydrogenation metal, which comprises the steps of: (a) regenerating the catalyst by contacting said catalyst with an oxygen containing gas at a temperature from about 300° C. to 550° C., (b) impregnating the regenerated carbon-reduced catalyst with an impregnation solution which comprises a mixture of water and a combination of MoO3 and H3PO4, (c) aging the impregnated catalyst and (d) drying the aged catalyst. The invention also refers to the rejuvenated catalyst obtained and its use for hydrotreating hydrocarbon feedstocks.

Abstract: A catalyst comprising gold, palladium, and a porous support, in the form of at least one grain, in which: the gold content in the catalyst is in the range 0.5% to 3% by weight with respect to the total weight of catalyst; the mean particle size of the gold, estimated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), is in the range 0.5 nm to 5 nm; the gold is distributed homogeneously in said porous support; at least 80% by weight of the palladium is distributed in an eggshell at the periphery of said porous support; the gold/palladium molar ratio is more than 2.

Abstract: Embodiments of processes for producing propylene utilize a dual catalyst system comprising a mesoporous silica catalyst impregnated with metal oxide and a mordenite framework inverted (MFI) structured silica catalyst downstream of the mesoporous silica catalyst, where the mesoporous silica catalyst includes a pore size distribution of at least 2.5 nm to 40 nm and a total pore volume of at least 0.600 cm3/g, and the MFI structured silica catalyst has a total acidity of 0.001 mmol/g to 0.1 mmol/g. The propylene is produced from the butene stream via metathesis by contacting the mesoporous silica catalyst and subsequent cracking by contacting the MFI structured silica catalyst.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method for reducing the content of sulfide-type compounds of formula R1-S—R2, with R1 and R2 selected from among the methyl (CH3) and ethyl (C2H5) radicals, of a gasoline that contains diolefins, monoolefins, and sulfur. The method implements a first catalytic step for selective hydrogenation of diolefins at a temperature of between 60° C. and 150° C. and then a step for heating the effluent that is obtained from the first step with a temperature difference ΔT of between 10° C. and 100° C. and a second catalytic step on the effluent that is heated in such a way as to produce an effluent that has a content of sulfide-type compounds of formula R1-S—R2, with R1 and R2 selected from among the methyl (CH3) and ethyl (C2H5) radicals, lower than that of the starting gasoline.

Abstract: A class of catalysts for CO2 hydrogenation via the reverse water-gas shift (RWGS) reaction to selectively produce CO for down-stream hydrocarbon synthesis. Alkali metal-doped molybdenum carbide, supported on gamma alumina (A-Mo2C/γ-Al2O3, A=K, Na, Li), is synthesized by co-impregnation of molybdenum and alkali metal precursors onto a γ-Al2O3 support. The A-Mo/γ-Al2O3 catalyst is then carburized to form the A-Mo2C/γ-Al2O3. Also disclosed is the related method for CO2 hydrogenation via the RWGS reaction using the A-Mo2C/γ-Al2O3 catalyst.

Abstract: Preparation of a catalyst that comprises an active phase of at least one metal of group VIM that is deposited on an oxide substrate, a) An oxide substrate that comprises alumina, silica, or a silica-alumina is provided; b) The oxide substrate of step a) is impregnated by an aqueous or organic solution that comprises at least one metal salt of group VIM that is selected from among cobalt, nickel, ruthenium, and iron, and then the product that is obtained is dried at a temperature of between 60 and 200° C.; A treatment under water vapor of the solid that is obtained in step b) is carried out at a temperature of between 110 and 195° C. for a length of time of between 30 minutes and 4 hours, in the presence of an air/vapor mixture that comprises between 2 and 50% by volume of water in vapor form.
