Abstract: The present invention relates to an ammonia oxidation catalyst for the treatment of an exhaust gas stream, the catalyst comprising a coating disposed on a substrate, wherein the coating comprises a selective catalytic reduction component being a zeolitic material comprising one or more of copper and iron; and an oxidation catalytic component comprising platinum supported on a porous non-zeolitic oxidic support, wherein the oxidation catalytic component further comprises a first oxidic material supported on the porous non-zeolitic oxidic support supporting platinum, wherein the first oxidic material comprises titania.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a catalyst for the oxidation of ammonia (AMOX catalyst), wherein the catalyst comprises as components: (a) Pt and/or Pd as one or more platinum group metals, wherein the one or more platinum group metals are supported on a support material; (b) one or more rare earth metal oxides selected from the group of oxides of Pr, Nd, and Ce, including combinations of two or more thereof; (c) one or more transition metal oxides selected from the group consisting of oxides of Mn, Ti, V, Nb, and Ta, including combinations of two or more thereof; (d) one or more zeolitic materials; and (e) optionally one or more binders; wherein the one or more zeolitic materials are loaded with Cu and/or Fe. The present invention also relates to an exhaust gas treatment system comprising the inventive catalyst for the oxidation of ammonia, as well as to a process for the preparation of a catalyst for the oxidation of ammonia, and to the use of the inventive catalyst.

Abstract: The present invention provides a catalyst composition comprising at least one platinum group metal; and at least one complex metal oxide wherein the at least one platinum group metal is supported on the at least complex metal oxide, wherein the complex metal oxide comprises ceria (calculated as CeO2) in an amount of about 50 to about 99 wt. %, based on the total weight of the complex metal oxide; and zirconia (calculated as ZrO2) in an amount of about 1.0 to about 50 wt. %, based on the total weight the complex metal oxide. The present invention also provides a catalytic article made from said catalyst composition, its preparation and use for the treatment of the exhaust gases.

Abstract: A diesel oxidation catalyst article is provided, which includes a substrate carrier having a plurality of channels adapted for gas flow and a catalyst composition positioned to contact an exhaust gas passing through each channel. The catalyst composition includes a platinum (Pt) component and a sulfur (S)-containing component impregnated onto a refractory metal oxide support and is effective to abate hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide, as well as oxidize NO to NO2 in the exhaust gas. Methods of making and using the catalyst article are also provided, as well as emission treatment systems comprising the catalyst article.

Abstract: Processes, systems, and catalysts for the conversion of 2-butene to 1,3-butaidene without the use of steam or, in some embodiments, with a reduced use of steam as compared to prior art processes are provided. The catalyst includes tungsten trioxide (WO3) on an inorganic support includes activated magnesium oxide (MgO) and may be referred to as a “dual catalyst” or a “co-catalyst.” Embodiments of the catalyst. A process for the production of 1,3-butadiene may include contacting a feed stream of 2-butene with a WO3-inorganic support catalyst or a MgO and WO3-inorganic support catalyst and may be performed without steam in the feed stream.
