Abstract: A process, apparatus, and system are disclosed for inhibiting erroneous control signals due to disruptive electromagnetic signals. In one embodiment, the invention prevents erroneous information writing in a recording device under the effect of background electromagnetic waves. A conductor pattern is formed on a printed wiring board on which wiring constituting a control circuit of a hard disk drive is formed. Background electromagnetic waves are detected by an electromagnetic wave detection circuit. In the case where an electromagnetic wave signal detected by the electromagnetic wave detection circuit exceeds a predetermined power, voltage, or current threshold, a write gate signal is turned off to inhibit a potential write operation.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing wrong information from being written due to an influence of electromagnetic waves in a rotary recording device. SOLUTION: A conductive pattern 7 is formed on a printed board on which the wiring composing a control circuit of a hard disk device is formed, and a signal from this conductive pattern 7 is detected by an electromagnetic wave detection circuit 16. When a signal level exceeds a prescribed threshold value, a write gate signal is switched off, and write processing is prohibited.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a servo tracking performance in a low frequency region without losing the stability of seek operations. SOLUTION: The position control system of the magnetic head is provided with two integrators; a 1st integrator 43 and a 2nd integrator 45. A gain K3' of the 2nd integrator 45 is set higher than a gain K3 of the 1st integrator 43. The 1st integrator 43 play a role of canceling a bias force acted on the magnetic head and the 2nd integrator 45 play a role of improving the servo tracking characteristic in the low frequency region.

Namely, a waveform inclination in the transition time of the strobe signal is made larger than that of the data signal in a signal waveform.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a head slider from accidentally landing. SOLUTION: The head slider provided with a transducer head is mounted on a head arm of the head mechanism and loaded on a disk by the turning of the head arm and also unloaded to the retreating position out of the disk from on the disk. A shock sensor is provided for sensing the shock received by the head mechanism from the outside. The loading operation of the head slider is started at a step S2, and when the shock is sensed at a step S3 during the loading operation, the loading is stopped at a step S5 and the unloading is carried out at a step S6 to return the head slider to the retreating position. When the unloading operation at the step S6 is finished, the head slider is returned to the step S2 and the reloading is started.
