Abstract:
A storage device of battery units is provided to miniaturize and lighten a high voltage battery unit of vehicles due to simple structure and easy assembly, and to prevent the damage of the battery module although impact is applied from the outside. A storage device of battery units(100) receiving a cylindrical battery module(160) accommodates a plurality of battery modules in a laminated form. The storage device comprises a base plate(110), an intake plate(130), a vent plate(140) and an end plate. The base plate supports the battery module by being installed at any one before or after and right or left of the battery module. The intake plate and bent plate respectively inhale and exhaust the air for cooling the battery module. The end plate prevents the outside exposure of the battery module.

A device for cooling the battery for a hybrid electric vehicle, and a method for cooling the battery for a hybrid electric vehicle are provided to improve cooling efficiency and to enhance the durability of a battery. A device for cooling the battery for a hybrid electric vehicle comprises air channels which are installed at the upper part and lower part of a battery(10) comprising a plurality of modules for cooling; a variable damper(40) which is installed at the cooling air entrance of the upper air channel(20) for controlling the entering course of cooling air; and a damper operator(50) which is connected with the variable damper. The cooling air enters the upper air channel and is discharged through the lower air channel(30) via the batteries.

The present invention implements both an interlock function for blocking the drawing of power with PRA before physically blocking the inner circuit of a high voltage battery and safety securing function by physically blocking the connection of battery cells inside the high voltage battery after performing the interlock function while reducing the number of components, reducing the volume of the high voltage battery and compactly composing with the components arranged concentrically.
