Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydraulic timing chain tensioner capable of being operated efficiently by self-adjusting oil pressure to maintain the tension of a timing chain and a timing chain system using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the hydraulic timing chain tensioner includes: a housing which is combined with a cylinder block of an engine; an operation unit case which is inserted and fixed inside the housing and has a hollow cylindrical shape; a plunger which is placed to be able to reciprocate in the hollow of the operation unit case and has a hollow cylindrical shape; a high-pressure room which is formed by the hollow of the operation unit case and the hollow of the plunger; a low-pressure room which is formed inside the housing and is linked to the high-pressure room; an oil supply passage which is formed in the housing to supply oil from the outside of the housing to the low-pressure room; and a regulator which regulates the oil pressure of the low-pressure room. Abstract: A variable valve lift follower is provided to improve engine performance and fuel efficiency by sucking air at a high speed in a low velocity range and sucking a large amount of air within a high velocity range. A variable valve lift follower(13) comprises a cam operating unit, an outer body(14), an inner body, a lock operating unit, and a valve contact unit.
