Abstract:
A main wire 111 has inner layer wiring patterns 161 to 165 which are wired on an inner layers 114 and 115 connected by via conductors 166 to 169 in series. In addition, a main wire 112 has inner layer wiring patterns 181 to 185 which are wired on the inner layers 114 and 115 connected by via conductors 186 to 189. The inner layer wiring patterns 161 to 165 and the inner layer wiring patterns 181 to 185 are wired so as to change the layer to the inner layer on the opposite side to each other. Branch wires 121 1 to 121 4 and 122 1 to 122 4 are branched from the via conductors 166 to 169 and 186 to 189, respectively. Thereby, the present invention provides an inexpensive printed wiring board which can reduce ringing without upsizing the printed wiring board.
Abstract:
A spacer-connector and connection arrangements between daughter boards and motherboards are disclosed. Assemblies may include a daughter board one or more spacer-connectors spacing the daughter board above a motherboard and conductive elastomers providing electrical connections between the daughter board and spacer- connector and between the spacer-connector and the motherboard. The spacer-connector may include ground, power, digital and/or controlled impedance RF pathways to conduct signals between the daughter board to the mother board.

Abstract:
Abstract:
A multi-layer circuit substrate and method having improved transmission line integrity and increased routing density uses a selectively applied transmission line reference plane metal layer to achieve signal path shielding and isolation, while avoiding drops in impedance due to capacitance between large diameter vias and the transmission line reference plane metal layer. The transmission line reference plane defines voids above (or below) the signal-bearing plated-through holes (PTHs) that pass through a rigid substrate core, so that the signals are not degraded by an impedance mismatch that would otherwise be caused by shunt capacitance from the top (or bottom) of the signal-bearing PTHs to the transmission line reference plane. For voltage-plane bearing PTHs, no voids are introduced, so that signal path conductors can be routed above or adjacent to the voltage-plane bearing PTHs, with the transmission line reference plane preventing shunt capacitance between the signal path conductors and the PTHs.
Abstract:
An orthogonal backplane connector systems having midplane footprints that provide for continuity of impedance and signal integrity through the midplane and allow for the same connector to be coupled to either side of the midplane. This design creates an orthogonal interconnect without taking up unnecessary PCB real estate. The midplane circuit board may include a first differential signal pair of electrically conductive vias disposed in a first direction, and a second differential signal pair of electrically conductive vias disposed in a second direction that is generally orthogonal to the first direction.
