Abstract: Preparation of adhesive coatings by means of a dispersion containing polyurethane of carbodiimide structure is new. Adhesive coatings are prepared by means of a dispersion containing polyurethane of carbodiimide structure -N=C=N- (I): in which (I) an object surface is coated with a dispersion D (coating I); (II) the dispersion coating the object is dried until free of water (coating II); (III) a coating (III) is prepared by heat activating coating II; (IV) coating (III) is combined with an adhesive. Independent claims are included for: (1) adhesive bonding an object by: (i) preparation of a coating Ia by coating an object with a dispersion D; (ii) preparation of a coating IIa by drying of coating Ia; (iii) preparation of an adhesive bond IIIa by contacting the surface of coating IIa with part of the surface of the object which is not coated with coating IIa, or the surface of another object , where coating IIa has a temperature of 20-200 deg C; (2) storage of dispersion D for 3 months before step I above.
