Polycondensate comprising (in wt.%): a polyol (10-30) having 3-6 hydroxyl groups; a 6-32 carbon non-aromatic monocarboxylic acid (30-80); a 7-11 carbon aromatic monocarboxylic acid (0.1-10) (optionally substituted by 1-3 alkyl groups of 1-32C); and a polycarboxylic acid having at least two carboxyl groups and/or polycarboxylic acid anhydride (5-40), is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) a cosmetic/pharmaceutical composition comprising the polycondensate in a medium; and (2) the preparation of the polycondensate.

The present application relates to a cosmetic composition in cast form, in a jar or as a stick, comprising at least one polyester that can be obtained by reaction:-of at least one polyol comprising 3 to 6 hydroxyl groups;-of at least one nonaromatic monocarboxylic acid;-of at least one aromatic monocarboxylic acid, and-of at least one polycarboxylic acid comprising at least 2 carboxylic groups COOH and/or a cyclic anhydride of such a polycarboxylic acid. The application also relates to a cosmetic treatment process which employs said composition, and to the use of this composition for caring for and making up the skin or the lips.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a dyeing composition containing a thiol/disulphide fluorescent colorant comprising a heterocycle, and to a method for colouring keratin materials, especially keratin fibres, particularly human keratin fibres such as hair, with a lightening effect, using said composition. The invention also relates to novel thiol/disulphide fluorescent colorants and the uses thereof for lightening keratin materials. Said composition produces a lightening effect which is especially tenacious and visible on dark keratin fibres.

A method for reshaping keratin fibers is provided to reshape curling of hair satisfactorily permanently by drying the keratin fibers between a reducing composition applying step and an oxidizing composition applying step. A method for reshaping keratin fibers permanently comprises the steps of: (a) rolling the keratin fibers around a mechanical tension means such as a curl clip or a curl paper to mechanically fix the keratin fibers; (b) applying a reduction composition onto the keratin fibers and the optionally rinsing off the keratin fibers; (c) drying the keratin fibers; and (d) applying an oxidation composition onto the keratin fibers. A kit comprises: the mechanical tension means; a first compartment including a cosmetic composition containing at least one reducing agent; and a second compartment including a cosmetic composition containing at least one oxidizing agent.

A method for permanently reshaping keratin fibers by a step for applying a poorly concentrated reducing composition and an intermediate drying step is provided to prevent the keratin fibers from being damaged and to reduce the emitted smell in applying the poorly concentrated reducing composition to the keratin fibers. A method for permanently reshaping keratin fibers by a step for applying a poorly concentrated reducing composition and an intermediate drying step comprises the steps of: fixing the keratin fibers under tension; applying the poorly concentrated reducing composition to the keratin fibers in order to reduce keratin disulfide bond; rinsing the keratin fibers; drying the keratin fibers; and reshaping bonding by applying an oxide composition to the keratin fibers. A reducing composition contains at least one reducing agent of 0.1~3wt.% to the total weight percent.

A keratin fiber dyeing composition is provided to be applied to hair, thereby obtaining strong and relatively non-selective shade and hair with good beauty characteristics. A keratin fiber dyeing composition comprises: 0.001-20 wt.% of at least one direct dye; 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one bioheterosaccharide; 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one cationic surfactant; and 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one amphoteric surfactant. A method for dyeing the keratin fiber comprises a step of applying the composition to the fiber for a time enough for coloring a desired color. Further, the amphoteric surfactant is selected from alkylbetaine, alkylamidoalkylbetaine and coamphodiacetate.
