    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a laser module with the use of an existing optical sending circuit for optical communication apparatus using low oscillation threshold lasers, and improve the optical output characteristics at no signal or zero signal time. SOLUTION: A laser oscillation threshold adjusting circuit, having an laser module and an optical transmission circuit in an optical transmission module used for optical communication apparatus, is provided. To adapt a low oscillation threshold laser module 10 to an optical transmission circuit 20 for high oscillation threshold lasers, a resistor 30 is added to connect the anode and cathode of the laser module, and the resistance of the resistor 30 is determined by taking the difference current of a threshold to be raised and the voltage drop between the laser anode and the cathode into consideration.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated circuit comprising a structure where an inter-line capacitance is reduced, and to provide a manufacturing method for an integrated circuit wherein an impurity is prevented from causing a destructive reaction with a conductive element present in the next layer of a multi-layer integrated circuit structure. SOLUTION: A cap layer or barrier layer which prevents an impurity from moving in a low permittivity material prevents the impurity from causing a destructive reaction with a conductive element present in the next layer of a multi-layer integrated circuit structure. Related to an integrated circuit, a diffusion preventive barrier layer is deposited between a first dielectrics layer and a conductive layer above the integrated circuit. The diffusion-preventive barrier layer is the next metal layer which is formed, on the spot, at the dielectrics layer comprising impurity, and further, a process including polishing is performed with a multi-layer dielectrics structure. The on-the-spot deposition at the cap layer or barrier layer prevents a layer comprising impurities from being exposed to an atmosphere, and the cap layer or barrier layer prevents the layer from being contaminated with water content, hydrogen, etc.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior optical cable fixing structure which can be grounded by fixing a metal wire through easy handling without damaging its coated optical fibers. SOLUTION: In a fixation block 31, a V-sectioned slit 32 is formed to fix a metal wire 1, and a V-shaped cutting tool 33 composed of a couple of cutting parts is provided at the inner part of the slit 32 except its insertion hole part. The angle of the V-shaped cutting tool 33 is equal to the angle of the V-shaped slit 32 and the cutting parts of the cutting tool 33 are arranged along a couple of slit surfaces of the slit 32. The cutting tool 33 is a single member formed of a conductive material such as metal and grounded. The metal wire 1 can be fixed and grounded by the cutting tool 33 in the slit 33 only by pushing the metal wire 1 with an insulating coating 2 into the slit 32.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that automatically reassigns an echo canceler to another facility in the case that it is decided that a facility to which the echo canceler has been assigned does not generate vast profit from echo cancelation. SOLUTION: The echo canceling system provided with self-deactivation processing of this invention includes an echo canceler and an echo detector employing an adaptive filter. The adaptive filter decodes an estimate value of an echo signal in existence in an unprocessed signal received from a near-end of a communication channel. The echo detector compares the energy of the unprocessed received signal with the energy of the received signal whose echo is canceled. When the difference is high, the echo canceler is left as active. The difference, that is, the estimated echo energy is small, the echo canceler is deactivated and the echo detector selects the unprocessed received signal as its output. In the case that a plurality of channels for echo cancelation is to be served, the deactivated echo canceler is reassigned to serve for another communication channel.

The additive is preferably carbon dioxide gas and forms ions in the conductive cleaning solution by reaction with deionized water. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is made to react with deionized water (H2O) and forms H+ ions and HCO3- ions.
