Abstract: PURPOSE: A control method of a diesel engine is provided to prevent the sudden raising of an RPM(Revolution Per Minute) by isolating a fuel supply when a control sleeve position sensor is abnormal. CONSTITUTION: The stop of a vehicle and the idle status of an accelerating pedal signal and an idle switch signal are checked during starting an engine(S101-S104). In the idle state, a present RPM is compared with a reference RPM(S105). A present injected fuel amount is compared with a target fuel amount when the present RPM is over the reference RPM(S106). The continuous increase of the RPM is checked over a certain period of time when the present injected fuel amount is over the target fuel amount(S107). A fuel injection is isolated by discriminating as a control sleeve position sensor is abnormal and turning off a governor when each condition is satisfied(S108,S109). Thereby, the sudden raising of the RPM and the sudden starting are prevented.

CONSTITUTION: A combustion chamber structure comprises a bowl(21) mounted to the upper part of a piston(20), an injector(40) for injecting fuel to the bowl, and a fresh air inflow passage(24) penetrated from an upper surface(22) of the piston to an inner surface(23) of the bowl to make fresh air strongly flowed into the bowl of the piston for promoting fine atomization of fuel when the fuel is injected by the injector. The number of the fresh air inflow passage is based on the position of an injection hole of the injector. An outlet(26) of the fresh air inflow passage is formed to be narrower than an inlet(25).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A noise reducing structure for a high-pressure fuel pump of a GDI(Gasoline Direct Injection) engine is provided to reduce noise by reducing impulsive shock between the other end of a valve needle and the center through hole of a stop disc as fuel remaining at the outer side of an anchor flows through fine holes of a valve disc. CONSTITUTION: A noise reducing structure for a high-pressure fuel pump of a GDI engine comprises a pole core(30), an anchor(40), a washer(60), a compression spring(50), a valve needle(20), and a valve disc(70). The anchor is in contact with or separated from the pole core according to the magnetizing force of the pole core. Fuel flows to the outer side of a needle combining hole through a plurality of fine through-holes. The compression spring pushes the anchor to the opposite side when the magnetizing force of the pole core is released. Both ends of the valve needle are fitted into the needle combining hole and the stop disc and integrally connected to the washer and the anchor. The valve needle moves side by side by the magnetizing force of the pole core and the compression spring. The valve disc reduces impulsive noise from the anchor and the valve needle by controlling the inflow and outflow amount of fuel.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A direct injection engine with an injector is provided to improve noise and vibration absorbing performance by employing a ring-shaped metal washer formed with damping rubber. CONSTITUTION: A direct injection engine comprises a cylinder head, an injector(140), and a washer unit(120). The cylinder head has a mounting hole and a raised protrusion for reducing the width of the mounting hole. The injector directly sprays fuel into a cylinder through the mounting hole and has a housing inclined surface corresponding to the raised protrusion. The washer unit is interposed in between the housing inclined surface and the raised protrusion to absorb and reduce the vibration generated between the injector and the cylinder head. The washer unit comprises a ring-shaped metal washer(200) whose bottom surface contacts the raised protrusion and damping rubber(210) which is elastically deformed and compressed when the housing inclined surface is moved toward the metal washer.

Abstract: A fuel temperature lowering apparatus of a common rail diesel system and a method thereof are provided to maintain temperature of fuel accommodated in a reservoir cup of a fuel tank lower than a predetermined temperature, thereby preventing deceleration of vehicle speed. A fuel temperature lower apparatus of a common rail diesel system includes a first reservoir cup(110) arranged with a fuel supplying line(111) and a fuel return line(112) at predetermined positions of a fuel tank(100), and a second reservoir cup(120) mounted at a predetermined position of the fuel tank, preferably at a side. The first reservoir cup includes a temperature sensor(113) to detect temperature of fuel accommodated in the first reservoir cup. The second reservoir cup accommodates low temperature fuel and includes a fuel pump(121) to pump the fuel. The first reservoir cup is communicated with the second reservoir cup by a pipe line(130). The temperature sensor is implemented by a bimetal switch. The bimetal switch as the temperature sensor is switched on when temperature of the fuel accommodated in the first reservoir cup exceeds a predetermined temperature, preferably 75 degrees centigrade, and is switched off when maintaining under the predetermined temperature.
