Abstract: The invention concerns a foil, in particular for food packaging, said foil consisting of a polymer P1 or a mixture containing: P1: 0.1 to 100 wt %. of a rubber-elastic block copolymer P1 comprising at least one block S, which comprises vinylaromatic monomer units, incorporated by polymerization, and which forms a hard phase, and at least one elastomer block B/S, which comprises units, incorporated by polymerization, both of a vinylaromatic monomer (S) and of (B), and which forms a soft phase, the glass transition temperature Tg of the block S being more than 25 DEG C and that of the block B/S being less than 25 DEG C, and the phase-volume ratio of block S to block B/S being such that the hard phase portion in the total block copolymer is 1 to 40 vol % and the portion of the diene is less than 50 wt %; P2: 0 to 99.9 wt % of a thermoplastically formable and/or duroplastic polymer P2; P3: 0 to 70 wt % of further additives and forming auxiliary agents, the total of the weight percentages of constituents P1 to P3 being 100 %.

Abstract: Disclosed is a molding composition made from linear or star-shaped styrene/butadiene block copolymers produced by anionic polymerization, of general structure (A)m-X, wherein A is a block copolymer section consisting of at least one polystyrene block with a molecular mass of 3,000 to 230,000 (g/mol) and a polybutadiene block with a molecular mass of 2,000 to 30,000 (g/mol), with A having a total molecular mass of 5,000 to 300,000 (g/mol), the block transitions are sharp or blurred and, to prevent decomposition due to light, atmospheric oxygen and/or heat, the molding composition contains 0.01 to 1 wt.% alpha -tocopherol, 0.1 to 2 wt.% organic phosphite of the general formula RO3P, in which R is alkyl, aryl or cycloalkyl, and 0.01 to 2 wt.% sterically hindered phenol.

Abstract: The invention relates to a transparent, stretchable film, especially for modified atmosphere food packaging, comprising at least three levels A,B,C and possibly D, wherein A is composed of a polymer P1 or a mixture of P1 and P2 and P1 is a rubber elastic block copolymer of styrene and a special softening phase of styrene and butadiene; the second layer B is made of a polymer P2 exhibiting a water vapour permeability Pw of less than 8; the third layer C is made of a polymer with an oxygen permeability Po of less than 1000; and optionally a fourth layer D made of a polymer without any limitation of permeability. The invention also relates to the use of the above-mentioned film as food packaging and to a method of packing food in particular, especially one using said film in a standard packing machine.

The transverse shrinkage of said film is not more than 3 % after three months' storage.

Abstract: A faint-smelling, light-, heat- and/or air-oxygen-stabilised moulding material made of at least one styrene homopolymer or copolymer or acrylate or methacrylate polymers contain stabilising amounts of for example 0.01 to 1 % by weight alpha-tocopherol and 0.1 to 2 % by weight of an organic phosphite, in a quantitative ratio between alpha-tocopherol and phosphite from 1:1 to 1:4, and preferably 0.01 to 2 % by weight of a sterically hindered phenol. The percentages by weight refer to the polymer fraction. The organic phosphite is in turn stabilised with up to 5 % by weight (in relation to the phosphite weight) of an amine or alkanolamine.
