    Abstract: Provided is a resin-metal composite material that ensures high adhesion between a resin material and a metal material. Additionally provided is a tire that achieves high durability by using the resin-metal composite material. The resin-metal composite material includes a metal material and a resin material that coats at least a part of the surface of the metal material. The resin material includes, as a main component, a thermoplastic resin having a polar group. The surface of the metal material is treated with a buffer solution having a pH of from 5 to 7.2, and an abundance ratio of copper to a total amount of copper and zinc (Cu/(Cu + Zn) × 100) in the surface of the metal material is from 55 to 95% by mass. The tire includes a circular tire frame formed of a resin material and a reinforcing layer composed of a reinforcing member wound around an outer circumference of the tire frame, in which the reinforcing member includes the resin-metal composite material.

    Abstract: A dye-sensitized solar cell of high power generation performance including a semiconductor film that can be formed at relatively low temperature is provided. A titanium oxide paste is applied onto transparent conductive film (2), and dried to thereby form a titanium oxide layer. Aqueous solution of peroxotitanic acid (11) is dropped on the titanium oxide layer, and heated. At this stage, the aqueous solution of peroxotitanic acid penetrates in part where any titanium oxide particles (10) are not adsorbed on the transparent conductive film (2), and this aqueous solution of peroxotitanic acid (11) reacts so as to form titanium oxide (11A). By virtue of the formation of the titanium oxide (11A) in interstices (s,t) between the titanium oxide particles (10), the linkages of titanium oxide particles (10) can be intensified to thereby realize an enhancement of power generation efficiency.

    Abstract: An air bag is made with a bag body of elastomeric film (15) having a high breaking extension, and a shape-retaining member (14) which controls the shape taken by the bag when inflated. The shape-retaining member is attached over part of the surface of the bag body, and is a composite of (a) elastic fibres or threads and (b) high-modulus fibres selected from aramid (R. T. M) fibres, aromatic polyester fibres and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. A composite fibre may be used having the high modulus material wound round an elastic core and it may be formed, eg woven, into a tape. Alternatively a fabric having separate areas of the respective fibres may be heat-laminated over the bag body.
