    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound useful as a raw material of medicine, agrochemical material and liquid crystalline polymer, by adding a compound exhibiting a strong acidity to a dialkali metal salt of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and separating by a concentration, etc. SOLUTION: This method for producing a monoalkali metal salt of p- hydroxybenzoic acid is to add a compound exhibiting stronger acidity than that of a phenolic hydroxyl group in p-hydroxybenzoic acid, preferably a mineral acid, an aromatic carboxylic acid and an aliphatic carboxylic acid to a dialkali metal salt of p-hydroxybenzoic acid in an aprotic polar solvent such as dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide and dimethylacetamide, then separate the monoalkali metal salt of p-hydroxybenzoic acid by a concentration or a filtration.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To isolate a natural type abscisic acid being an important compound as a natural plant hormone and capable of expecting wide uses such as plant growth regrator, etc., in high purity and yield from a solution containing the natural type abscisic acid by carrying out the isolation operation of the natural type abscisic acid in a state in which light having a specific wavelength is blocked. CONSTITUTION:A natural type abscisic acid is isolated in high yield from a solution containing the natural type abscisic acid by carrying out isolation operation of the natural type abscisic acid in a state in which light having 200-600nm wavelength is blocked. This isolation is preferably carried out under conditions at pH1-11 and temperature of 0-60 deg.C. An >=80% of total isolation operation based on time is preferably carried out in a state in which light having 200-600nm wavelength is blocked. Furthermore, the natural type abscisic acid(ABA) is (+)-cis-trans type expressed by the formula. The isomerization and decomposition of ABA are suppressed and recovery of ABA is enhanced and ABA can efficiently be isolated by this method. Further, since the isolated ABA is not isolated or decomposed even in successive operation, high-purity ABA is readily obtained.

    Abstract: NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I. USE:A remedy for malignant tumor having low toxicity. PREPARATION:N-(4-Carboxylphenyl)maleimide expressed by formula II is reacted with dihydroxodiaminocyclohexane platinum (II) expressed by formula III, normally under ordinary temperature and ordinary pressure in an aqueous solution to provide the compound expressed by formula I. Furthermore, the compound expressed by formula III which is a starting raw material is produced by heating N-(4-carboxyphenyl)maleimide in an acetic anhydride solvent in the presence of sodium acetate. The compound expressed by formula III is produced by reacting a compound expressed by the formula K2PtCl4 with a compound expressed by formula IV, reacting the resultant compound expressed by formula V with AgNO3 and then treating the resultant compound expressed by formula VI with a OH type anion exchange resin.
