The support members 12 and 14 has the parallel V-shaped grooves which hold the optical fibers of a multifiber ribbon 16 mutually at intervals and are put together so that the V-shaped grooves of the adjacent support members meet each other. Alignment pinholes 20 formed of grooves for alignment pin in the support members 12 and 14 are formed for alternate arrays of the optical fibers. The grooves for alignment pin are formed on only one surface, so the internal support member 14 can be made thin.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a gate dielectric layer of high reliability and long lifetime by thermally oxidizing a semiconductor substrate that is damaged by implanting ions to a specified concentration to form a thin dielectric film. SOLUTION: A thin dielectric layer is formed by thermally oxidizing a semiconductor substrate that is damaged by ion implantation. A desired amount of damage is introduced in the semiconductor substrate by implanting dopant atoms or undopant atoms. To assure proper amount of damage, the implanted ion concentration lies between 6×1016/cm3 and 3×1021/cm3. After the substrate is damaged to a desired amount, an oxide on the semiconductor substrate surface is removed by wet etching, and thermal oxidation is made in an oxygen- containing atmosphere in a temperature range from 700 deg.C to 1,100 deg.C to form a thin dielectric layer. Through these processes, a high value of QBD, which is the total electronic charge sustained by the gate oxide until voltage breakdown, results, therefore high reliability of the gate dielectric layer is obtained.

Namely, this HSLPC feature extracting process 102 is used together with signal conditioning 160 and a discriminating training process 170 and the voice recognizer 100 is trained to recognize a voice input. By the approach of the linear predictive analysis and subband analysis, the predictor is calculated from the number of the mel-warped subband-based autocorrelation functions obtained from the frequency spectrum of the input voice.
