Independent claims are also included for (i) a process for the production of (I) by mixing the catalyst components with 2-30 wt% polyamine, polyacrylate, poly-alcohol, polysiloxane and/or carbohydrate, or especially polyvinylpyrrolidone, and then calcining at above 550 degrees C; (ii) a process for the dehydrogenation of 2-16C hydrocarbons in presence of (I) and optionally in presence of water vapor.
