Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a heat exchanger. Said metho d is characterised in that a metal polymer dispersion layer having a halogenat ed polymer is chemically deposited on a heat exchange surface in a currentless manner. The invention also relates to a method for producing a heat exchange r. Said method is characterised in that a metal phosphor layer having a thickne ss of 1 to 15 .mu.m is applied by currentless chemical deposition before the metal polymer dispersion layer is applied. The invention also relates to a heat exchanger which can be produced by an inventive method and to the utilisation of a coating which is produced by currentlessly, chemically depositing a metal polymer dispersion layer having a halogenated polymer in order to make the coated surfaces less likely to accumulate solid materials from fluids whereby deposits are formed.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method of vaporizing a fluid containing vaporizable oxidation-sensitive compounds in a vaporizer in which, for vaporization purposes, the fluid is brought into contact with a heated solid surface, direct contact between the resultant vapour phase and the heated solid surface being largely prevented. The invention further concerns a vaporizer comprising a heatable solid surface (16), a device (2, 3) for heating the solid surface, and a device (10) for feeding a fluid containing vaporizable compounds to the heatable solid surface. The fluid-feeding device is designed and disposed (12, 14, 18) in the vaporizer such that direct contact between the resultant vapour phase and the heatable solid surface is largely prevented.

Abstract: According to the invention, the production of oxymethylene homo- or co-polymers from an aqueous solution of formaldehyde and polyoxymethylene glycols is achieved, whereby 1) in a separation stage, water and formaldehyde are at least partly separated out from the aqueous solution, such that a phase containing polyoxymethylene glycols is obtained, in which the molar ratio of polyoxymethylene glycols to formaldehyde is greater than 1:0.6 and 2) the polyoxymethylene glycols obtained in stage 1) are reacted in the presence of polycondensation catalysts with abstraction of water to give oxymethylene homo- or co-polymers.

An Independent claim is also included for a process for producing (meth)acrylic acid from a mixture of (meth)acrylic acid and a higher-boiling solvent, comprising distilling the mixture in a column which is connected to an evaporator of type (I) and has stripping and concentrating zones, between which the mixture is fed, a side outlet for (meth)acrylic acid, and top and side inlets for polymerization inhibitor, the amount of inhibitor supplied to the top inlet being less than that supplied to the side inlet.
