Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing polyisocyanates by reacting primary amines with phosgene, comprising the following steps: a) mixing the amine with the phosgene; b) reacting the amine with the phosgene in a reactor, inside of which the mixture stays for a period of time and, optionally; c) transferring the discharge from the reactor from step b) into a distillation column. The invention is characterized in that the reactor cited in step b) is provided in the form of a tubular reactor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an aqueous formaldehyde solution, containing formaldehyde in the form of monomeric formaldehyde, methylene glycol and polyoxymethylene glycols in a total concentration x >/= 65 wt. %. Said solution is characterized in that the average molar mass M of the polyoxymethylene glycols is equal or inferior to the values, which are obtained according to formula I, depending on the formaldehyde concentration, whereby M represents the average molar mass and x the total concentration of formaldehyde in the form of monomeric formaldehyde, methylene glycol and polyoxymethylene glycols in wt. % (formaldehyde total concentration).

Abstract:
A process for the production of 4,4'-diaminoditolylmethane comprises reaction of o-toluidine with formaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst whereby the ratio of acid catalyst to o-toluidine is 0.8-1.2 equivalents of acid per mole of o-toluidine. providing a process for the production of 4,4'-diaminoditolylmethane.
Abstract:
Production of amine-formaldehyde condensate involves fractionating a mixture of polyoxymethylene glycols, formaldehyde, methylene glycol and water in a reaction column and reacting the reactive fraction with a countercurrent of amine in the same column. Production of amine-formaldehyde condensates (I) by reacting: (a) amine(s); with (b) a mixture containing: (i) poly-oxymethylene glycols; (ii) monomeric formaldehyde; (iii) methylene glycol; and (iv) water. The method involves fractionation of mixture the, followed by reaction with the amine in a reaction column. The amine and that part of the fractionated mixture (b) which reacts with (a) move in countercurrent to one another.
