    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refrigerator applied with a combustible refrigerant in which the combustible gas is not ignited even when the refrigerant is leaking and the defrosting heater for an evaporator is conducted under an environment filled with the combustible gas. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises an evaporator 55 in a refrigeration cycle applied with a combustible refrigerant, and a heater 56 for defrosting the evaporator 55 wherein the heating value of the heater 56 is lower than 100 W/m. The heaters 56 are arranged densely at the lower part of the evaporator and a part of the heaters 56 is arranged to conduct heat to a drain pan 57 thus limiting the temperature of strands of the defrost heater 56 not higher than the firing point of the combustible gas while enhancing the defrosting efficiency on the periphery of the evaporator.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refrigerator using a combustible refrigerant in which ignition is prevented when defrosting is performed under such an environment as the combustible refrigerant is leaking. SOLUTION: A plurality of glass tube heaters 19 are provided as means for defrosting the evaporator 10 in a refrigeration cycle encapsulating a combustible refrigerant. Firing of the combustible refrigerant and non-cooling due to residual frost can be prevented by controlling the conduction time and applying voltage of the glass tube heater 19 such that the combustible refrigerant is not heated up to the firing point. Furthermore, surface temperature of the glass tube heater is lowered by touching a glass tube heater 115 and an evaporator 108 to each other. The glass tube heater 115 has a multiplex structure and a sealing member is provided on the end face thereof.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lamp socket inside a refrigerator using HC group refrigerant from becoming a cause of ignition in the case that a spark at the connection or disconnection of a lamp when exchanging it, is generated in the atmosphere of leaked refrigerant. SOLUTION: A collar part 1d is formed on an insulation art of the socket 1, and a projection 1e is formed on the collar part 1d. As the collar part 1d and the projection 1e closely contact a glass bulb 2, the socket has such a structure that the leaked flammable refrigerant can not get into the area where the spark is generated when the electricity receiving terminal 2b of the lamp and a contact point 1c contact each other, therefore, the spark is prevented from becoming a cause of ignition.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator to prevent entrance of water into a glass pipe heater for defrosting, improve reliability of the glass pipe heater for defrosting, and be high in reliability on defrosting. SOLUTION: A lead-out pile 25 for a lead wire 22 is provided in a rubber cap 17 to cover a connection part 27 to the lead wire 22 connected to the two ends of a heater wire 21. In mounting orientation of a glass pipe heater body for defrosting, a lead-out hole 24 to lead out the lead wire 22 through the lead- out pile 25 to the outside is formed in the side wall surface of the rubber cap 17. By providing a drip 33 formed integrally with the rubber cap 17 below the lead-out hole 24, even when defrost water flows along the lead wire 22, the defrost water is dripped through the drip 33, and entrance of it in the lead- out pile 25 and the glass pipe heater 15 for defrosting is prevented from occurring.

Solderless connecting terminals 32 are provided at both ends of the cord 29, one is guided from a mounting hole 33 of the case and connected to the terminal of the substrate, and the other is guided from a mounting hole 34 of an inner case and connected to press bonding and solderless relay connecting terminals provided at the ends of the cords of the component, thereby simplifying assembling of the cord 29 and reducing in size and its cost.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mounting operability and reliability in the mounting structure of a defrosting glass tube heater of a refrigerator. SOLUTION: A hole 43 is opened at a lower portion of an electrically insulating rubber cap 36 covering both ends of a defrosting glass tube heater 31, and lead wires 42 are led out. A mounting hole is provided at an upper portion of the cap 36, and an upper surface cover 39 covering above the heater 31 is fixedly inserted into the mounting hole. The cap 36 is engaged with a holder 37 formed integrally with a rear wall of a drain pan 32 above a trough 32a in a longitudinal direction, the heater 31 is mounted longitudinally. A locking portion 44 is integrally provided at the cap 36, the wires 42 are locked to improve mounting operability of the heater 31 and to reduce its cost. Then, reliability is improved, and effective use of a space is contrived.
