Abstract: PURPOSE: A starter driving method for ISG(Idle Stop and Go) vehicles is provided to improve the durability of the vehicles by driving a mechanical starter and a belt type starter at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A starter driving method for ISG vehicles is as follows. Necessary driving force of an engine in engine starting operation is calculated(S30). The engine determines whether to start the vehicles only with the belt type starter using the necessary driving force of the engine or not(S31). If the starting is not operated only with the belt type starter, demanded driving power of the belt type starter and the demanded driving power of a mechanical starter are respectively calculated according to the necessary driving force of the engine(S34). The belt type starter and the mechanical starter are driven in order that the calculated driving power is outputted(S35).
