    Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting the height of a vehicle seat is provided to adjust the height of the seat and prevent a rack gear and a pinion gear from being escaped even in the event of a head-on collision of a vehicle to maintain the height of the seat to thereby protect people in the vehicle. An apparatus for adjusting the height of a vehicle seat includes a seat bracket(100), left and right cushion side frames(300), a supporting bar, a pinion gear(320), a rack gear(122), a rack gear link(120), and a supporting pin. The seat bracket is provided in a vehicle to set the seat. The left and right cushion side frames are connected to the seat bracket through a link and support cushion of the seat. The supporting bar connects the left and right cushion side frames. The pinion gear adjusts the height of the cushion. One end of the rack gear is engaged with the top end of the pinion gear and the other end is connected to a hinge at the seat bracket. The supporting pin allows the rack gear to be engaged with the pinion gear all the time.
