Abstract: A height adjusting device in a head rest for a vehicle is provided to prevent noise generated in traveling of a vehicle by assembling a stopper with a pair of stays for supporting the head rest. A height adjusting device in a head rest for a vehicle comprises a pair of guiding pipes(210), a base(200), a moving member(220) moved in the upper part of the base, and a pair of stoppers(230). The pair of guiding pipes is fitted into the upper end of a frame in a sheet bag installed at the vehicle. The base is installed at the upper part of the sheet bag to be connected with the upper end of the guiding pipe. The pair of stoppers is formed at the moving member to be selectively assembled to an engaging groove formed at a stay(310) inserted into the guiding pipe. The base consists of a supporting pin(240) restricting the movement rate of the moving member. The moving member, which is installed by a spring(260) to move a stopper to an engaging groove in removing condition of external force, has a guiding slot(221) for moving the supporting pin. A knob(250) manipulated by a user is placed at one end of the moving member.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A headrest for a vehicle seat is provided to be easily adjustable to every direction of forward, backward, up, and down by a simple operation. CONSTITUTION: A headrest comprises a front cover(11), a rear cover(15), a middle cover(20), a rear plate(30), a lock pin(40), a lock pin case(41), a lock plate(50), a button(60), and a stay(80). The front cover is positioned to the front of a vehicle. The rear cover is positioned to the rear of the vehicle. The middle cover is positioned inside of internal space where the front cover is combined with the rear cover, extended to both sides of the internal space, and includes a hollow portion(21) in the center. The rear plate includes one side combined in the inner side of the rear cover, a central protrusion facing to the front cover and passing through the hollow potion of the middle cover. The lock pin passes through the hollow portion of the middle cover from top to bottom. The lock pin case is formed surrounding the perimeter of the hollow portion of the middle cover and has bifurcated ends with which the lock pin is combined. The lock plate is inserted into the lower part of the middle cover to be movable to right and left. The button is connected to one side end of the lock plate for controlling the movement of the lock plate. The stay is formed extended to pass through the both ends of the middle cover, and combined in a vehicle seat.
