Radiation-hardenable aqueous polyurethane dispersion (A) comprises: (a) at least one compound with at least two free isocyanate group, at least one (bound) allophanate group, and radical polymerized C=C double bond, which is directly bounded to double bond of a carbonyl group or oxygen atom in bound ether group; (b) at least one compound with at least one isocyanate reactive group and at least one radical polymerized C=C double bond; (c) optionally at least one compound with at least two isocyanate reactive group of hydroxyl-, mercapto-, primary- and/or secondary amino groups; (d) at least one compound with at least one isocyanate reactive group and at least one acid group; (e) at least one basic compound of partially neutralized acid groups of (d); (f) optionally compound of (b), (d) and/or (e) that has only one isocyanate reactive group; (g) optionally at least one different polyisocyanate of (a); (h) optionally further additives such as reactive solvents, photo initiators or lacquer additives; (i) water; and (j) optionally at least one di- and/or polyamine (where (A) does not contain thermal initiators). Independent claims are included for: (1) a coated substrate comprising (A); and (2) a method for coating substrates comprising applying (A) on the substrate, drying and radiation hardening.
