Abstract: There are disclosed a resin composition (I ) which comprises 100 parts by weight of (a1) a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer composed of a block copolymer (styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene block copolymer, styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene block copolymer) , 3 to 50 parts by weight of (b1) an ethylene/(meth)acrylic acid copolymer or an ethylene/(meth)acrylic ester copolymer each having 5 to 45% by weight of (meth)acrylic acid content, and 50 to 170 parts by weight of (c1) a paraffin base oil; a resin composition (II ) which comprises 100 parts by weight of (a2) a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer composed of a block copolymer, 1 to 15 parts by weight of (b2) a maleic anhydride-grafted polyolefin, and 30 to 170 parts by weight of (c2) a paraffin base oil; a gasket material (I ) composed of the components (a1) , (b1) and (c1) ; a gasket material (II ) composed of the components (a2), (b2) and (c2) ; and a gasketed cover in which a gasket made of the gasket material (I ) or (II ) is integrally fitted to a cover body made of a metal by injection molding.

Abstract: An electrolyte for dye-sensitized solar cells, wherein an oxidation-reduction substance is carried by a vulcanized rubber, a phosphazene polymer, a porous body comprising a high molecular material which has a three-dimensional continuous network skeleton structure, or an EVA resin film. A dye-sensitized solar cell comprising dye-sensitized semiconductor electrodes 2, 3, a counter electrode 4 arranged at an opposed position to the electrodes, and an electrolyte 6 between the electrodes 2, 3 and the electrode 4. A solid electrolyte for dye-sensitized solar cells effective in improving the generation efficiency, durability, and safety of dye-sensitized solar cells and can be manufactured inexpensively.

Abstract: The present invention teaches a method for enabling the formation of a high damping, soft polymer gel. The method includes: reacting a poly(alkenyl benzene-co-maleimide) polymer with a maleated polyalkylene and an alkyl diamine under substantially dry conditions sufficient to form a polyalkylene grafted poly(alkenyl benzene-co-maleimide) polymer product; and, dispersing the polyalkylene grafted poly(alkenyl benzene-co-maleimide) polymer product with an extender oil sufficient to form the gel. The present invention also contemplates a polymer gel composition, a polymer composition and an article manufactured from the polymer gel composition.

Abstract: A first air bag comprises an upper cloth and a lower cloth, the peripheries of the both cloths being connected, characterized in that the upper cloth consists of an airtight sheet obtained by weaving a composite fiber composed of a filament core and a thermoplastic polymer bonded thereto which has a melting point lower than that of said filament core, and then fusing said thermoplastic polymer so that the surface of said upper cloth has a continuous thermoplastic polymer layer. A second air bag consists of a membranous material having a breaking extension of 100% or more. A third air bag comprises an elastomer body and a shape-retaining member partially attached to the elastomer body, said member being composed of elastic fibers or threads and high-modulus fibers.
