    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a film excellent in moisture resistance, traveling property and electromagnetic transducing characteristics under a high temp. and high humidity. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic recording medium is provided with a magnetic layer at least on the surface of a supporting film composed of an aromatic polyamide or aromatic polyimide. The humidity expansion coefficient (β) and steam permeability of the supporting film satisfies respectively β (1/RH%) and (steam permeability) /24hr/0.1mm).

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recording medium having good preservable stability by forming a magnetic recording medium produced by using an org. high polymer for a nonmagnetic base material. CONSTITUTION: This magnetic recording medium is produced by forming a magnetic layer on the nonmagnetic base material formed by using the org. high polymer. The magnetic recording medium is so formed as to satisfy both equations of Is I/Is O>=0.8 and Ir O/Ir I>=0.8 when the initial saturation magnetization is defined as Is O, residual magnetization as Ir O, the saturation magnetization after treatment for 1000 hours in the environment of 65 deg.C and 80% RH as Is I and the residual magnetization as Ir I. Whether the magnetic recording medium with which stable performance is obtd. at and under a high temp. and high humidity or which is preservable over a long period is determined by drastically lessening the influence by the impurities in the base material, by which the deterioration in the magnetic layer is prevented. The magnetic recording medium which is usable outdoors and is capable of preserving recording over a long period is obtd. by decreasing the contained impurities reacting with the magnetic layer and more particularly the magnetic layer formed by using a magnetic material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce deterioration of gas barrier performance due to post- processing, by taking the thickness of an aluminum oxide thin film as particular values, and also the absorbing strength of aluminum carboxylate by an infrared spectroscopic method at an interface between the plastic film and the aluminum oxide thin film as particular values. CONSTITUTION: This gas barrier film is provided with an aluminum oxide thin film formed on at least the single surface of a plastic film consisting of a polypropylene film or a polyethylene terephthalate film by means of a physical deposition method or a chemical deposition method. The thickness of the aluminum oxide thin film is 8-50nm. The film thickness smaller than 8nm will not meet the gas barrier performance, while the film thickness not less than 50nm will generate a curling, and degrade the gas barrier performance rapidly at the time of processing. The absorbing strength of aluminum carboxylate per one reflection by an infrared spectroscopic method at the interface between the plastic film and the aluminum oxide thin film is not less than 5×10 . The absorbing strength lower than 5×10 makes the gas barrier performance insufficient.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a long product by continuous extrusion and to reduce the danger of ignition or explosion by forming a fine powder of polytetrafluoroethylene and adding a fluorine type surfactant to an aq. extrusion aid. CONSTITUTION:Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is formed into a fine powder and a fluorine type surfactant is added to an aq. extrusion aid. PTFE is a tetrafluoroethylene homopolymer, a copolymer with other copolymerizable monomer or a mixture of them. PTFE and the aq. extrusion aid are pref. added to an extrusion compsn. in an amt. of 70wt.% or more. In the extrusion compsn., the aq. extrusion aid is added in an amt. of 25-30 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the PTFE fine powder. (When the addition amt. of the aq. extrusion aid is out of this range, moldability becomes easy to deteriorate because of the lowering in flowability caused by lubrication deficiency and the excessive aq. extrusion aid is exuded under pressure during molding or pressure becomes insufficient and sufficient plastic deformation is hard to generate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a surface protection film excellent in ultraviolet blocking properties and thermal lamination properties and also having antistatic properties and coloring properties by providing a coating layer based on an ultraviolet absorbing acrylic resin on the surface of a fluoroplastic film and further providing a thermal adhesive resin layer on the coating layer. CONSTITUTION:A coating film based on an ultraviolet absorbing acrylic resin is provided on the surface of the fluoroplastic film and a thermal adhesive resin layer is further provided on the coating layer. The fluoroplastic resin film is pref. based on an ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer and, when the coating layer is formed on the surface of the fluoroplastic film, surface treatment or undercoat treatment is pref. applied to the fluoroplastic film. The ultraviolet absorbing acrylic resin is a copolymer consisting of a reactive benzophenone compd. and an acrylic monomer having a polymerizable unsaturated group. A vinyl chloride resin or a polymethacrylic resin is used in the thermal adhesive resin layer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester film excellent in productivity and resistance to hydrothermal life without deteriorating voltage resistance or self-heal properties by providing a co-polyester layer having an alkylene group having a specific number or more of carbon atoms in a film. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film for a condenser is constituted by providing a co-polyester layer having a 4 or more C alkylene group in a film. At this time, base polyester is a crystalline thermoplastic resin, for example, polymerized by an ester bond. The co-polyester is constituted of a dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component. The number of carbon atoms of the alkylene group is set to 8 or more, pref., 20 or more. By this constitution, the polyester film for the condenser excellent in productivity and resistance to hydrothermal life is obtained without deteriorating voltage resistance, other electric characteristics and self-heal properties.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the film improved in antistatic properties, bondability, printability, a suitability for writing, and handleability by forming a coating layer based on a polymer binder and a cationic polymer on the surface of a fluororesin film. CONSTITUTION:A 100 pts.wt. polymer binder having a hydroxyl value of 40 mgKOH/g is mixed with a cationic polymer and optionally 0.1-70wt.% coloring pigment of a mean particle diameter of 0.01-25mum and a crosslinking agent, and the mixture thus obtained is dispersed in an organic solvent to obtain a coating fluid. This fluid is applied to at least either surface of a fluororesin film of a thickness of 1-500mum to form a coating layer and dried to form a coating layer of a thickness of 0.01-50mum.
