There is described an integrated unweighted gait training system having an unweighting system comprising a computer controller; a gait measurement system in communication with the controller; and a display in communication with the computer controller adapted and configured to provide real-time feedback to a user of the integrated unweighting gait training system. The unweighting system may be a differential air pressure (DAP) unweighting system or a non-DAP unweighting system.

Abstract:
An apparatus for promoting shallow breathing of a patient includes a paddle, a belt, and a bladder. The paddle may be configured to contact the body of the patient. The belt may be configured to secure the paddle against the body of the patient. Finally, the bladder may be interposed between the belt and the paddle in the installed condition, such that inflating the bladder urges the paddle toward the body of the patient so as to apply pressure to the abdomen of the patient. A method of promoting shallow breathing is also provided that includes attaching a paddle and a bladder to a belt, such that the bladder is between the paddle and the belt, positioning the paddle on the patient, and inflating the bladder to urge the paddle toward the body of the patient such that the paddle applies pressure to the abdomen of the patient.

This invention, related to the mechanism about treating movement disorders arising in extremities as a result of nervous system damages bringing movement capability to the target organ by activating hand, arm, leg and foot joints developed to grant freedom of movement for people in their daily lives by accelerating neurologic recovery in movement disorders caused by nervous system damages- is essentially formed of 1st Motor (1), 2 nd Motor (2), 3 rd Motor (3), 4 th Motor (4), motor box (5), covering motors, pressure gauge (6) measuring the arising pressure, inflexible string (7), flexible mechanism (8) linked on the string (7), splint (9) linked to the target organ of the patient, encoder angle gauge (10) measuring the angle during the movement towards joint of the target organ, camera (1 1), infrared camera (12) tracking temperature of muscles running on the target organ, EMG (13) tracking electrophysiology in the muscles of the target organ, electrotherapy (14) activating the muscles in the target organ by transmitting electric current, sound wave module (15) tracking mass changes in muscles of the target organ by sound waves, marker and camera (16) connecting markers on the patient and performing movement efficiency analyses by tracking the markers electronically, biofeedback control mechanism (17) by which movement learning and execution levels of the patients can be tracked during treatment and control mechanism (18) enabling the operator to start and control the mechanism.

A rehabilitation apparatus includes: an operation unit that is operated by a subject of rehabilitation; an operation amount detection unit that detects an operation amount of the operation unit; a drive unit that drives the operation unit; a control unit that controls drive of the drive unit; a posture detection unit that detects a posture of the subject; an external force detection unit that detects an external force acting upon the operation unit; and a display unit that displays an operation target position of the operation unit. The control unit calculates a manipulability ellipse representing manipulability of a body of the subject based on the posture of the subject detected by the posture detection unit, calculates the operation target position based on the calculated manipulability ellipse, calculates a target value of the operation amount for the operation unit on the basis of the external force detected by the external force detection unit and the calculated operation target position, and controls the driving unit such that the operation amount detected by the operation amount detection unit follows the calculated target value of the operation amount.

Die Vorrichtung ist zur Unterstützung von Bewegungen von zwei oder mehr Fingern einer Hand und zur Verwendung für das kontrollierte Training von Greiffunktionen einzelner Finger vorgesehen. Dazu weist die Vorrichtung einen Motor (2) auf,der zur Leistungsübertragung auf ein Verteilergetriebe (1) eingerichtet ist. Weiter ist das Verteilergetriebe als ein sogenanntes Differentialgetriebe ausgebildet und weist eine Antriebswelle und zwei voneinander unabhängig bewegbare Abtriebswellen auf. Jede der Abtriebswellen ist mit jeweils einer Spindel verbunden, die Körpergliedmaße sind mittels Verbindungselementen mit den Spindeln verbindbar.

The present invention relates to a device for curing hemiparalysis which is for curing the paralyzed side of the human body, the device comprising: a robot worn on the paralyzed side of the human body; a motion measuring unit measuring the movement of the ipsilateral side corresponding to the body with the robot; and a controlling unit connecting with the robot and the motion measuring unit; wherein the controlling unit controls the robot based on the movement of the ipsilateral side inputted and measured from the motion measuring unit, and the paralyzed side with the robot moves correspondingly to the movement of the ipsilateral side. The device of the present invention may further comprise: a shield blocking the view of an object for the movement of the ipsilateral side or a mirror blocking the view of an object for the movement of the paralyzed side. Accordingly, the device of the present invention helps to cure hemiparalysis by maximizing the induction of brain plasticity of a patient suffering from hemiparalysis.
