PURPOSE: A composition containing anacardic acids and a prevention method using the same are provided to ensure low toxicity to good algae and to prevent harmful algae. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing harmful algae contains anacardic acids or natural products or anacardic acid chloride containing 50% of anacardic acid. The composition further contains menadione, menadione sodium bisulphate, nanosilver, or chrysophanol as an additive. The anacardic acid is prepared by adding basic solution to a mixture of anacardic acid and low carbon number alcohol. The harmful algae include Microcystis, anabaena, oscillatoria, spirulina, aphanizomenon, nodularia, cochlodinium, stephanodiscus, chlorella, chalamydomonas, scenedesmus, or botryococcus.

PURPOSE: A composition containing plant extract or sesquiterpene compound isolated from the plant extract is provided to selectively control microalgae and to reduce side effects. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing microalgae contains one or more compound containing sesquiterpene compounds of chemical formulas 1-5 or plant extract. The plants are Atractylodes chinensis root, Curcuma aromatic root, Piper nigrum fruits or mixture thereof. The extract is isolated using (C1-C5)alcohol, hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone, methylene chloride, ethyl ether or mixture thereof.

A potato plant transformed by an expression vector not including an antibiotic marker gene is provided to improve weed controlling effect due to multiple resistances against two non-selective herbicides, cause a problem of spreading antibiotic resistance and reduce environmental burden by decrease the amount of final treatment herbicides used for cultivation. An expression vector for plant transformation comprises a herbicide resistant bar gene and a CP4-EPSPS gene. A potato plant with multiple resistances against herbicides is transformed by the expression vector and does not include an antibiotic-marker gene. A method for preparing the potato plant comprises the steps of: (a) preparing the expression vector; (b) transforming Agrobacterium to obtain a transgenic Agrobacterium; (c) co-culturing the transgenic Agrobacterium with a tissue of the potato plant; and (d) after selecting a transformed shoot from the co-cultured potato plant tissue, elongating the shoot to induce roots.
